I am not typically one to write reviews, but I felt this one was necessary. To be clear, this 5-star review is not for Lowe’s as a company or for their customer service team. In fact, based on my experience, I would give Lowe’s customer service less than one star. This review is specifically for Dre Quinn, the delivery driver who went above and beyond to help me.
I ordered 175 bags of mulch for a commercial location over two months ago. After the job was completed, we had 57 bags left over. I called customer service to arrange a return and explained that I only needed the remaining mulch picked up. I assumed everything was handled, but that was my first mistake.
Two weeks later, my client called to let me know the mulch was still sitting at the location. I immediately drove over and discovered that not only had the original 57 bags not been picked up, but an additional 65 bags had somehow been charged to me and delivered. I called customer service again and explained that I had never requested more mulch. I only wanted the original leftover bags returned.
The following Saturday, all of the mulch was finally picked up and returned to the store where it had been ordered. I was told my refund would be processed within 3–5 business days. After checking my account the next week and still seeing no refund, I opened a ticket and waited. Two more weeks passed with no resolution.
When I called customer service again, they were completely unhelpful. They told me the ticket was still open, but claimed the store had not received the product. They were rude and unwilling to assist any further. Frustrated, I decided to handle it myself and called the driver directly.
That driver was Dre Quinn, and he was the hero of this entire situation. Dre confirmed that he had returned all of the mulch the same Saturday he picked it up. He told me he would personally follow up with the store, and within an hour, he had my return completed. He even waited for the receipt and offered to bring me a copy.
I was genuinely impressed by Dre’s professionalism, accountability, and willingness to go above and beyond, especially considering this issue had dragged on for nearly two months. After multiple calls with an unwilling and unhelpful customer service team, it was a delivery driver who actually solved the problem.
Lowe’s needs more people like Dre Quinn. His work ethic and customer service deserve recognition. While I will no longer be taking my business to Lowe’s because of how poorly this return was handled, I truly appreciate Dre for stepping up and getting it done.

Went to pick up a gas grill that their website said was in stock. I couldn't find one and a brusque older man in that department said "if there aren't any out front, they're all gone." When I pointed out that they are showing "in stock", he just shrugged.
So I went to customer service to have them check and they said it might be in receiving. I asked if she could check and she just acted put upon, and said she would have to get the department employee to check. That was the first grumpy person I dealt with, so I just left and went the two blocks to Home Depot. The staff there were super helpful, and not only found a matching grill, but even loaded it in my car.
I will never waste time with Lowes again.
