Online pickup had missing hardware, but employee Hunter saved the day!
I recently ordered an item online for store pickup, but ran into a major hiccup once I got home and started assembling it. After building about half of the unit, I realized halfway through that it was completely missing one of the wall panels.
I initially reached out to customer service online, but unfortunately, they weren't able to help resolve the issue. Frustrated by the inconvenience, I decided to go directly to the store.
That is when store employee Hunter stepped in and completely turned the experience around. She went above and beyond by working through a third-party vendor to track down a replacement part. Not only did she successfully order the parts, but she also had it expedited, which is such a huge relief given how much of an inconvenience this whole ordeal has been.
Customer service agents online could take a cue from Hunter—her dedication to fixing the problem made all the difference!

I went to Lowe's around 12:30 pm. I had a couple of small projects and am disabled and cannot stand for long on concrete. I went to get a gallon of paint mixed and I was going to get it mixed and get a small list and pick up paint. A older man named Phillip was at a work station and I went to him. I figured if he didn't work in paint he could call someone to come help me. He pointed to a area 10 ft away and told me to wait for someone. I explained to him that he could call someone and I couldn't stand long because of my disability. He looked irritated and I told him I would would contact corporate for his attitude and the last thing he said was ". SOMEONE LIKE YOU WOULD". Come on Lowe's, is this the type of person you need!!! I can send proof of disability if needed. I'm truly not sure how far this will go!!!

After approximately six weeks, roughly five visits to the Pooler store, two calls to Lowe’s Customer Care, an unfulfilled promise to ship the missing parts, and an incorrect replacement purchase—all following an order totaling more than $3,000—Lowe’s still failed to resolve the problem. Ultimately, I had to identify and contact the manufacturer myself and submit a Missing Parts Form directly to obtain the components that should have been included with my original order.
As the customer, I should not have been required to perform Lowe’s responsibility as the retailer. Lowe’s sold the products, accepted payment, and delivered an incomplete order. Lowe’s should have verified the product specifications, contacted the delivering store or manufacturer, and secured the missing parts on my behalf. Instead, Lowe’s repeatedly shifted that responsibility to me until I was forced to resolve the matter directly with the manufacturer.
Although I have now taken the necessary steps with the manufacturer to obtain the missing parts, this does not resolve or excuse Lowe’s repeated service failures. I am submitting this complaint so that Lowe’s corporate management will review how Store #2772 handled this matter, address the inaccurate information and lack of assistance I received, and take appropriate corrective action.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
