  I came to the facility to discuss my payment on my unit. The manager Kim was very helpful! She helped me with come up with a great resolution on my account. I was able to pay for the unit.

  I went to my storage unit this morning and felt a sense of gratefulness and relief, as I often do. So I'm making a point to write a stellar review for Extra Space Storage, particularily this P'tree location near Walmart Chamblee location. I started renting my unit about 2 or 3 years ago after being w/ Public Storage and experiencing a break in that Public Storage did not make me aware of. The local police contacted me approximately a week after the breakin and theft happened to mine and several other units. I immediately relocated my storage rental to Extra Space (after comparing other storage companies). The storage facility is night and day compared to Public Storage. ES is clean (inside and out and all around), not dirty or raggedy, the elevators operate w/ ease and assurance, and the app works like it's suppose to when using the digital access. I appreciate they have a real person on site minding the front desk during normal hours and today I saw a cleaning lady minding the facility. My every interaction w/ the front desk has consistently been pleasant, courteous, very helpful, respectful, and professional. I HATE paying for storage units because they are ridiculously expensive, but as long as I need one I will continue using ES. Public Storage was the direct opposite in every way mentioned above. The facility was dirty and old and they didn't have a human on site (Brookhaven) - needless to say when my unit was broken into Public Storage did not reach out to me about this incident - not once. If it had not been for the police I would not have found out when I did. So...thank you ES for taking pride and care in this facility (I hope it's the same for all of your locations) for your customers. It truly makes me feel confident and comfortable about the security of my belongings and when I visit the facility.

  I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this Extra Space Storage location. This is not the first time I’ve come to the office during business hours only to find no one there. Almost every time, there is a note on the door stating that the manager is “on-site” and instructing customers to call a phone number for assistance. The problem is that when you call, no one answers. More than once, I’ve had to leave without getting the help I needed because no one was available. Today was the final straw. After calling multiple times, someone finally answered and told me she was “running errands for the company” TODAY IS SATURDAY!!! (May 30th) What errands could you possibly be running for the company????? On top of that Kim could not provide an estimate of when she would return. Meanwhile, the note on the door stated that staff were on-site at the property, which was clearly not the case. As a paying customer, it is incredibly frustrating to drive to the facility, find the office unattended, and then be unable to get assistance or even get a reasonable timeframe for when someone will be available. What made the situation even more upsetting was what happened next. After waiting, two employees eventually returned to the facility carrying groceries. There were two people working, yet the office had been left unattended while customers were left waiting outside. Whether they were on a break or handling personal business, the reality is that customers were being told someone was “on-site” when no one was available to provide assistance. To make matters worse, when they returned, the attitude was far from professional. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience caused, I was met with an unfriendly and dismissive demeanor. I understand that employees may need breaks or occasionally step away, but leaving customers without assistance, providing inaccurate information about staff availability, failing to answer calls, and then responding with poor customer service is unacceptable. This experience only reinforced why I felt the need to contact corporate and escalate the issue. The lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism at this location appears to be an ongoing problem rather than a one-time occurrence. If you expect reliable customer service or someone to actually be available during posted business hours, be prepared for disappointment.
