- BCBrenda CarverApr 27, 20261.0WARNING! Do NOT rent a climate controlled unit from this Extra Space Storage facility!! We trusted them with our deceased mother's personal effects and assumed that by renting an indoor climate controlled unit we would be safe from any damage occurring. Wrong! It rained into our unit and destroyed our mom's priceless belongings. See attached photos. The manager would not refund the month we paid for during the damage occurrence and so we paid to have damaged belongings. We immediately moved everything out of the unit. The manager told us, "These things happen." Seriously? Wondering if he would feel that way if he lost his deceased mother's personal effects?!
