As a contractor that frequently visits Lowe's all over Atlanta and the Metro area, Buford has got to be, BY FAR, the worst Lowe's. Period. Aside from the cashiers and customer service personnel, who are usually great, the rest of the personnel seem to be either absent or lazy. Not sure which, but I'm not sure it matters. Hands down worse than John's Creek.

I am extremely unhappy with the Lowe's at 1955 Buford Mill Dr, Buford, GA 30519. I ordered materials, and the cashier alerted the forklift operators—who were chatting and apparently ignored the call—that they were needed; they walked off toward the back instead. The cashier called them again, and they finally showed up after an hour and a half. Another driver operating a different forklift was working very slowly and clearly lacked experience. All told, I waited 1 hour and 40 minutes for them to start loading my materials. I am seriously considering closing my account with Lowe's and never returning. Sincerely, Stone Master, Inc

Placed an order at 10:30, after waiting the 4 hours(and even waited an extra hour and a half) they say to give time to prepare the order. I arrive to a store full of employees, yet not a single item from the cart had been pulled. Very frustrating to give business to a multi billion dollar company and yet they have no care to take care of there customers.

I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Rasool in the lumber department. I had selected a piece of 2x4 wood that I needed cut to a specific length, but before I could fully explain what I needed, Rasool responded with an attitude and immediately denied the request because the wood was pressure treated.
I completely understand and respect Lowe’s policy if pressure-treated wood cannot be cut in-store. However, the issue was not the policy itself — it was the lack of courtesy and professionalism in how the situation was handled. A simple, respectful explanation of the store policy would have been appreciated.
Customer service requires patience, communication, and a willingness to assist, even when the answer is “no.” Instead, Rasool’s behavior came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and more focused on chatting with other employees than helping customers. I hope management addresses this and provides proper customer service training, because customers should feel respected and acknowledged when asking for assistance.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE BY HARRISON. Went to the garden center to buy pine needles. The employee sold us and asked us to go to the trailer so that they can load our car. As we went to the trailer they loading guys said sorry we are sold out don’t have any. So I went back inside to the employee to get refund. The employee’s “HARRISON” attitude was very bad. He didn’t even look or apologize or even say a single word. He looked so annoyed. I understand the heat was too much outside but with that attitude I don’t think so you can be in customer service. From the very beginning he had this very annoyed attitude that he is there forcefully. He was getting annoyed by any questions we were asking about pine needles. I hope management will look into this.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
