This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had with a major retailer.
I placed a $5,300 order with Lowe’s and was given a specific delivery date. I scheduled time off work so I could be home to receive the delivery. On the day of delivery, Lowe’s failed to deliver the order because they did not have the proper equipment to complete the job.
When I contacted the store, I was essentially told that “things happen.” There was no accountability, no meaningful apology, and no attempt to compensate me for the time and inconvenience. Instead, employees tried to use the fact that I ordered online as an excuse, despite Lowe’s accepting the order and scheduling the delivery.
The most frustrating part is that this situation was completely avoidable. Lowe’s should have known whether they had the equipment needed before scheduling the delivery. Customers should not have to lose work time because of Lowe’s poor planning and logistics.
For a $5,300 purchase, I expected far better communication, professionalism, and customer service. Mistakes happen, but refusing to take responsibility and offering nothing to make things right is unacceptable.
I will think twice before making another major purchase from Lowe’s and would encourage others to consider whether they are willing to risk the same experience.

Exceptionally rude customer service, I feel robed of 459.03 for a window unit that did not work. They refused to warranty the item or refund the money. They person working the counter in 6-2-26 at 4pm will leave you on hold untill you hang up
