  The employees at this Lowes are extremely helpful. A young man carried the heavy items to my vehicle due to medical. Also, the young man was there immediately. No waiting around. This has been my favorite Lowes since moved to Augusta.

  You can find everything in the store and everybody was friendly great customer service. Definitely recommend.

  I love Lowe’s but this one really sucks, everything is locked up, I completely understand why but I waited 30 minutes after talking to 2 different people and requesting help on your app, I left and went to Home Depot and had no problems. Get your shit together, great company shit store

  What a mess I just experienced. Before I start, I want to thank the floor associates who were attempting to help my situation and clearly as frustrated as me with how things were going. I ordered a John Deere lawn mower last Friday (8 days ago) for pickup and had been patiently waiting for the status to change to ready, only to get to this Friday with no change. I called the store and the associate immediately change my pickup status to ready. Just to find out that it's one of the pre-assembled mowers out front, which should have been ready last Friday when I ordered it. As such, I was already annoyed by the misleading message I was getting from whatever AI that is used for customer service saying that my order was pending assembly. My fault for being so trusting and patient though. I get to the store this morning and it takes a while just for them to find a key to unlock the mowers. Then it takes another while to locate the key to the actual mower, in which they had to give me a universal key instead. Then they had to print me out a manual since they couldn't find the manual that comes with the mower (along with the key). THEN we couldn't get the mower to even turn on to make sure it actually works. As such, I had to ask for a refund entirely since neither of the mowers they had on stock would start at all. Initially, they were going to offer me a different model for the inconvenience but then decided I would have to pay the difference, which I refused. For the entire rough experience, I was at this store for nearly an hour and half only to leave empty handed. Drove down the street to North Augusta and was out within 10 minutes with my new mower, manual and key in-hand. As such, I will not be making any more large purchases at this Lowes, which is disappointing since it's closer to my house and where I have been purchasing appliances since 2018. Unfortunately, my financing option and holiday discount was only valid for my original purchase, so I'm feeling super salty about that. All in all, the store itself is not bad and great for regular item purchases, but it's questionable if you're spending over 2k for products and expect a certain standard of service for goods.

  One of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had, but more importantly, a serious safety concern. My client purchased a Blackstone 36" Culinary Omnivore Griddle with Hood, Model 2162 from this Lowe’s for an important family event. It was purchased with assembly and delivered to her home. The grill weighs 136.5 lbs. assembled. The day before the event, my employee and I went to move the grill into position. Almost immediately, the entire support frame began collapsing underneath it. The grill had been assembled with only 2 of the approximately 10 bolts that should have been securing that portion of the structure. I tried to catch the extremely heavy upper portion as it fell and was injured in the process. The frame bent and was destroyed. Even more concerning, my client’s two-year-old child was nearby. Thankfully, the child was far enough away. It is disturbing to consider what could have happened had the child been standing closer when a 136.5-lb. improperly assembled grill suddenly collapsed. What followed was nearly three hours of trying to get Lowe’s to correct a problem Lowe’s created. We were initially told there was nothing they could do and that we had to transport the destroyed grill back ourselves. We loaded it into my trailer and returned it. At the store, the proposed solution was essentially: return it, buy another one, receive a 10% discount, and assemble it ourselves because nobody was available to assemble one. Manager Shane repeatedly told me there were no other options. I never raised my voice or cursed at him, but at one point he characterized me as an “angry customer.” I was certainly frustrated. I had an event beginning at 8:00AM the following morning, an employee on the clock, a client depending on me, and I was spending hours fixing a dangerous assembly failure that was not ours to fix. Eventually, I suggested checking for an already-assembled replacement. They found the exact model. Amazingly, that grill was also missing critical assembly hardware. I then had to suggest taking a complete hardware package from another unassembled grill so we could make sure the replacement was assembled safely. Before that, Shane instructed me to "Go find the bolts and nuts you think will work and buy them". The most troubling part? Multiple employees told us that problems with incorrectly assembled merchandise happen frequently. If that is true, Lowe’s needs to take this much more seriously. Improper assembly of a 136.5-lb. piece of outdoor cooking equipment is not an inconvenience. Someone can be seriously injured. I understand Lowe’s uses third-party assemblers. That is irrelevant to the customer. My client contracted with and paid Lowe’s for the product, assembly, and delivery. Whoever Lowe’s chooses to subcontract is Lowe’s responsibility. We ultimately left with a replacement at a substantial discount, but virtually every workable solution that day came from us, after repeatedly being told what Lowe’s could not do. I own an event-planning and hospitality company. Problems happen. What distinguishes good service is how a business responds when they do. In this case, the indifference to both the customer-service failure and the potential for serious injury was far more troubling than the original mistake. Lowe’s should investigate both the assembly contractor and the store-level quality-control process before somebody gets seriously hurt.
