  I was very disappointed with my experience using RH’s design service. For a company positioned as a high-end furniture retailer, I expected a much higher level of service and attention, especially considering the design service requires a membership fee while many other retailers offer similar services at no additional cost. My project was initially assigned to Malina. Unfortunately, communication was inconsistent, and I was eventually passed to another designer because my project was considered “not big enough.” At the time, I had not yet made my RH purchases, but I was actively planning a significant project and looking for guidance in selecting pieces for my home. I was disappointed that my project seemed to be evaluated based on its initial size rather than the opportunity to build a relationship with a potential customer. I was then assigned Camille, but unfortunately, the experience did not improve. I found the communication lacking, and it felt like my project was something she was trying to complete rather than a design opportunity she was invested in. After that, I was assigned Isabelle. I was disappointed that my project was not considered substantial enough for an in-home design visit, even though I was actively looking to purchase additional pieces and wanted professional guidance in making selections. Responses often took several days, and after I had been trying to communicate and move the project forward, I was told, “I’d love to just wrap this project up.” At that point, I felt dismissed and decided to close the project. What was especially disappointing is that I ultimately went on to spend thousands of dollars on RH furniture and décor, yet the design service experience did not reflect the level of attention and personalized service I expected from a luxury brand. I chose RH because of its reputation and expected a more elevated customer experience. Unfortunately, the design program fell short of those expectations. I hope RH considers improving communication, consistency, and customer care within its design service so that clients feel valued regardless of the size of their project. A luxury experience should not be based solely on the initial size of a purchase, but on building relationships and providing exceptional service throughout the process.

  Working with my RH designer Atanasia, has been such a great experience. She truly understands my style and always helps me choose pieces that feel both timeless and perfect for our home.   I had a small issue with a piece of furniture I purchased, and Kristine Martinez was incredibly helpful. She was very kind, patient, and really took the time to make sure the problem was taken care of. It’s not always easy dealing with these situations, but she made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I really appreciate her help and great customer service!
