Always been a fan Home Depot decided to try Lowe’s for the first time order all materials to build a shed a day before my time to pick it up was the following day was 6:00 p.m the latest arrived at store the following day and canceled all $2,000 worth of materials because they pushed it ALL the way to the end. Very disappointed on this will not be going back!!!!

Today, August 9, 2026 I visited the Vero Beach Lowe’s home improvement store. I brought in a used lawnmower and was looking for a different lawnmower that was self-propelled. I ran into a Lowe’s customer service person and he could not have been more helpful. His name was Jonathan. Jonathan and I had a long conversation about the pros and cons of the ego lawnmower, self-propelled versus non-self-propelled. After I finished talking with him and learning more about these lawnmowers he convinced me that the self-propelled lawnmower, which was more expensive, was certainly worth the extra charge. Not only did he helped me decide on a good lawnmower, but he assisted in ringing me up personally and then bringing the lawnmower box out to my car and loading it without any help. What a fantastic young man. He is a testament to Lowe’s personalized service as well as knowledge of products. I will definitely be back to Lowe’s and hopefully run into Jonathan once again as he was super kind and helpful!

I purchased a dishwasher from Lowe’s and paid Lowe’s for the installation. The installation was completed on February 19, 2026, through Lowe’s subcontractor, Crume Installations. Four days later, I discovered that the dishwasher had been leaking from an installation connection and had caused substantial damage to multiple areas of my home.
Professional inspections documented extensive damage requiring mitigation, removal of damaged materials, and major reconstruction. Since February, I have repeatedly tried to get this resolved. Instead of taking responsibility for the installation service it sold and arranged, Lowe’s has repeatedly redirected me to its subcontractor and multiple insurance companies. Each party has attempted to pass the matter to someone else.
One insurer issued a payment of $14,910.41, while the documented estimates for mitigation, remediation, and reconstruction total $82,910.56. I did not accept, sign, deposit, or cash that payment.
Lowe’s later incorrectly stated that I had retained an attorney and that the claim had been settled. Neither statement was true. I repeatedly advised Lowe’s that I had not retained an attorney and had not accepted the insurer’s offer.
I have cooperated fully and provided photographs, professional reports, estimates, communications, and access for inspections. My family has endured months of disruption, canceled plans, safety concerns, and uncertainty while the damage remains unresolved.
My greatest frustration is Lowe’s continued refusal to take ownership of a service it sold me. I expected Lowe’s to coordinate a fair and timely resolution. Instead, I have spent months being passed from one company to another without anyone accepting responsibility.
Customers considering installation services through Lowe’s should understand that when something goes seriously wrong, Lowe’s may distance itself from the subcontractor and leave the homeowner to navigate the dispute alone.
