  While searching for storage units in the Tampa area after my daughter had to quickly move out of her off-campus apartment near the University of Tampa during a very stressful situation, I was overwhelmed. Most storage facilities near the school were extremely expensive, and honestly, many of the people I spoke with seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping. That completely changed when I spoke with Barry at Extra Space on Laurel Avenue, Tampa location. Barry was one of the kindest, most helpful people I encountered during this entire process. Not only did he make everything simple and stress-free, but he truly went above and beyond. At one point, he even called me back personally to let me know that a less expensive unit had opened up. Unfortunately, it wasn’t large enough for my daughter’s items, but the fact that he took the time to think of us and try to save us money spoke volumes about his character and customer service. Since I live across the country, my daughter had to handle everything in person, and Barry made her feel comfortable and taken care of from the moment she arrived. The facility itself was also incredibly clean, safe, and secure, which gave me tremendous peace of mind knowing my daughter’s belongings were being stored there. In the end, we rented the unit that best fit her needs, and I can honestly say Barry played a huge role in making us feel confident that we chose the right facility. Exceptional customer service is hard to find these days, and Barry absolutely deserves recognition for the care, professionalism, and genuine kindness he showed our family.

  Site is clean, and Barry, the manager on site was extremely helpful. I ended up needing a bigger unit than I booked online and he was able to easily transfer me to a new unit, and left the sliding doors open during my move in for our connivence. Amazing customer service.

  I had a great experience working with Barry the store manager, who was incredibly kind and professional. He was very helpful and efficiently provided all the specific information I requested regarding my storage unit. I truly appreciate his excellent customer service and friendly attitude during the process. It’s rare to find such dedicated support, and I highly recommend this facility.

  I can’t say enough great things about Extra Space Storage. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was exceptional—friendly, professional, and genuinely focused on helping us find the best solution. The staff took the time to understand our needs and worked with my wife and me to not only secure a larger storage unit, but also lower our monthly payment, which was a huge win for us. Barry, in particular, is incredible. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that we felt confident in our decision and helped to negotiate the lowest possible rate. It’s rare to find that level of care and flexibility these days. If you’re looking for a storage facility that truly values its customers and is willing to work with you, I highly recommend this location.

  What an easy process!!! I booked online, and I can do everything at the storage facility through the app, including opening the gates and opening exterior doors. The facility is super clean and easy to navigate. I had many questions before booking, and the staff was very professional and helpful. I have done several drop offs to my storage unit in the last few weeks. It’s always an easy in and out. Definitely a five star experience.
