While searching for storage units in the Tampa area after my daughter had to quickly move out of her off-campus apartment near the University of Tampa during a very stressful situation, I was overwhelmed. Most storage facilities near the school were extremely expensive, and honestly, many of the people I spoke with seemed dismissive and uninterested in helping.
That completely changed when I spoke with Barry at Extra Space on Laurel Avenue, Tampa location.
Barry was one of the kindest, most helpful people I encountered during this entire process. Not only did he make everything simple and stress-free, but he truly went above and beyond. At one point, he even called me back personally to let me know that a less expensive unit had opened up. Unfortunately, it wasn’t large enough for my daughter’s items, but the fact that he took the time to think of us and try to save us money spoke volumes about his character and customer service.
Since I live across the country, my daughter had to handle everything in person, and Barry made her feel comfortable and taken care of from the moment she arrived. The facility itself was also incredibly clean, safe, and secure, which gave me tremendous peace of mind knowing my daughter’s belongings were being stored there.
In the end, we rented the unit that best fit her needs, and I can honestly say Barry played a huge role in making us feel confident that we chose the right facility.
Exceptional customer service is hard to find these days, and Barry absolutely deserves recognition for the care, professionalism, and genuine kindness he showed our family.
