- PWPam WilliamsApr 29, 20263.0I used Sparkling Kleen twice in the past year - once to complete a family member’s pool and once to complete a repair to our hot tub facade- replacing glass block with concrete and new tile. Both projects took significantly longer than quoted. The first pool needed pebble tech and tile work along with some mechanical adjustments and a new pool cage. With the first pool we went through 3 project managers and several ball’s were dropped. Ultimately - deadlines were not met but errors were corrected (lanai was not installed with panoramic wall, stairway tiles were not installed as ordered) which while delaying completion, ultimately met our expectations. The repair to our hot tub was expected to be a ‘one week job’ (third project manager’s words). Communication was inconsistent and inadequate and workers did not show up when we were told they would. I had to constantly chase down timelines and updates. Their ‘builder trend’ project management software which I’d hope would be a great communication tool was not used consistently if at all. One week turned into well over three and promises for interim step completion kept being missed. In the end the pool was left empty for well over a week and once finally refilled I had to show the project manager (Alex) and owner (Daniel) that the contract language clearly included their provision of chemicals and salt. They begrudgingly provided less than half as much salt as the pool testing required. And our Intelliclor chlorination system, which was in working order prior to the pool work, is no longer working and we were told by Daniel that it was ‘our problem’ - disappointing to say the least. The one true professional on their team is Julie who was my first contact with Sparkling Kleen. She quoted and helped troubleshoot both projects. She was always available, kind, honest and helpful.
