They charged me an extra $90 without notifying me in advance. They claim they sent a notice in the mail, but I never received it.
Why send a small letter instead of calling, emailing, or otherwise notifying customers? Mail can easily be overlooked or get lost, yet they still charge extra and say, “We sent you a letter.”
When I called to complain, they immediately lowered the price back to what I had been paying. That makes me question whether the increase was justified in the first place.
Based on my experience, I do not trust this company. Be careful—they may add unexpected charges after a few months and then say prices increased because of higher demand.
To make matters worse, the manager was rude, yelled at me, and hung up the phone on me. Very unprofessional customer service!

I adore my Extra Space Storage experience. The store manager Catherine Kasper is a true delight to engage with, she is professional and friendly and makes me feel very comfortable with the uncertainty of how long I may have to use Extra Space. I appreciate their great offers and customer service. I feel like my things are safe and I can financially handle the burdens that come with meeting life on life's terms. It's good to have people watching out for my peace of mind and heart.
