  Our experience with the owner of this shutter company was fantastic, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and great to work with during the initial consultation and measuring process. Loved that it's a family owned business Where things fell short for us was the delivery and communication timeline. We were originally told 6–8 weeks when they came out in March to measure, but once we hit the 9-week mark and beyond, communication became inconsistent. We often had to follow up multiple times, and responses were minimal—sometimes no response at all, or promises to call back that didn’t happen. Ultimately, the shutters were not installed until October, well after hurricane season had nearly passed. If you’re looking for quality shutters and don’t mind a long wait, they may still be an option. However, if timing and clear communication are important, this is something to be aware of based on our experience. I really wanted to give a 4 or 5 rating but couldn't I really hope they get their communication and timing issues resolved

  It wasn't an easy job to install accordion shutters on my house. Especially the 3 sliding glass doors on my patio. But Brant worked hard in making everything work. MY only concern is one of the accordion shutters would not lock during Ian. I have called and left several messages asking someone to come out to fix it but no one responded. It is in my contract that every problem will be taken care of. I was told this is a Christian business. I'm hoping this will be taken care of. I'm waiting patiently to hear from them.Not contacting me to take care of this issue is in violation of my contract. I hope you have better luck in communicating with Southern Cross if you choose to work with them.

Great customer service, attention to detail, product and price with plenty of different options to choose from for all your home needs. We love our Newley protected home!   From the beginning of the process to the final installation, this company has been amazing. The owners Brant and January are always a pleasure. The staff that installed the shutters were more than polite. We are very satisfied with our shutters. Our family is protected because of Southern Cross Storm Protection.
