On Saturday, June 27th around 9p, I went to the W Nine mile Ensley store and proceeded to find my pick up order inside first before needing to find hardware for my door hinge.
Because of what the app instructed me, I headed towards customer service where I was met by a short haired woman with ginger hair who was rude after I asked her if this is where I get my item. I’ve picked up items in the locker before but because one of my items was rather large, I thought maybe it was behind customer service since I didn’t see anyone at the locker pickup area.
Then, after finding the right people to get my pickup order, I proceeded over to hardware as the gentleman who gave me my pickup up order said that someone would be able to help me in that area. I go to the aisle and had to peek out the aisle to find a someone who I asked if he could help or send someone to help me find the correct item based off a screw I brought from my house. He barely spoke to me but shook his head yes. No one ever came. No one.
Tonight reminded me why I prefer Home Depot over Lowe’s. HD customer service is top tier and I’ve never experienced rude employees there. I’ve had several past instances at this very same store of rude employees and I’m done shopping here. My husband and I have closed our credit card account and will be shopping at Home Depot for now on. After going to other customer reviews, it’s consistent that both corporate and the local leadership aren’t holding their employees accountable. That’s very disappointing.

I own a business and come to Lowe’s almost every day. I tried to return a sprinkler that I bought for my house and now without the receipt or the phone number they cannot return it or give me any store credit. This is ridiculous plus the fact that they are saying that it has to be under the phone number some employees don’t even ask for the phone number at check out so now I’m penalized for someone not doing their job right. I will move my business elsewhere. Manager at returns was not compassionate or understanding just looking at me like I was criminal come on that’s no way of doing business

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The company….. When will Lowe’s step up for the First Responders? They cater to the military and I get that. How about the firefighters, Paramedics and police? Nope.

Update: After writing this review I see a major trend in reviews regarding delivery, maybe Lowe’s should listen to the overwhelming amount of people that are disgusted with the delivery service don’t do some fake standard response of how they can earn a customers trust, you violated that trust and don’t get another chance.
Original: Don’t ever do a delivery order with them. What rotten pathetic delivery service that Lowe’s uses. We waited 8 hours for a delivery and nobody showed up or called. When you call Lowe’s they tell you a third party delivers and they can’t contact them. I don’t hire the third party Lowe’s did and takes no ownership. Then the delivery services calls the following morning and tell me it’ll be in 4 days and I specifically told the person I can do only 12-4 that day and they assured me no problem. Then at 8pm the night before I get a text it’ll be 8-12. I call them and I’m told they can never schedule anytime because they won’t know until 8pm the day before because of how they load the truck. So they screw up and as the customer I take the hit? What a complete disaster I’m so disgusted I’m not even sure I’ll ever shop at Lowe’s again. Lied to by the person selling the item, the delivery company and then Lowe’s again. Shame on me save yourself and don’t get delivery go elsewhere and buy it.

I dont know if management will see this post but came in Sunday June 7th for plants, no one looked interested in helping, when I asked for help was told to look for it inside. Found my plants and came out to look for lavender, asked David for help which stopped what he was doing to show me where they kept the lavender and the sale area. Because of him ended up buying a lot more then what I was looking for and he also took the time to show me different stands for my furns. Thank you David for the amazing customer service, you could have just spent your shift chating by the door about how long your day is and what are your plans for your day off. Time for training or firing, maybe paying your staff better wages will attract responsible workers.
Give David a raise the 5 star is for him only.
