Fantastic company. Our pool is 24 years old this fall. We needed an update in all areas. We converted from a chlorinator to a salt generator; had our pool re-coated with pebble spec; had our pool tiles re-grouted and acid washed; and updated our outdated fiber optic light to a modern LED. Great price—best price. We reside in Ocala, FL and reached out to Classic Marcite for a quote. We promptly received a quote and it was thousands less than area competitors. Read and re-read their reviews and you will know you chose the right company. The crews were exceptional. Absolute great company to work with. Very knowledgeable and willing to take phone calls/text messages to answer any question(s). We have a large family, including 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren, all who love to visit and swim. With a large investment such as a pool, and this investment that brings family together, make sure you call the best, Classic Marcite!

I had my pool done roughly 5 years ago. They resurfaced my pool as well as installed a 6 inch tile with bullnose. (BTW, The tile work had to be redone after the first install because of how horrible it was done.) Since then, I’ve had a section of my tile completely fall off. I also have some issues on the steps and in the shallow area of the pool where the surfacing is showing defects. I’ve literally placed nine phone calls and have been told by Renee and Sue and Rosalyn that somebody will have to call me back. I ended up visiting them myself yesterday 11/17/25 because nobody will contact me back. I was told by Rosalyn, Hector would come and inspect my pool this morning at 9 AM TODAY and once again no call no show. When I callED today, I spoke to Renee who once again told me Roslyn would have to call me back. Rosalyn was also supposed to call me yesterday to let me know what we could do about the tile “after she spoke to the owners”. These folks have been dodging me left and right and refuse to assist and it’s very frustrating. I expect them to uphold the warranty on the surfacing and do as promised. But unfortunately, communicating is almost impossible. I highly recommend you do not hire this company. If you need any further support after the work is completed.. Hopefully this can be handled properly but I don’t have high hopes they’ll come through..

Top Quality, Affordable, On Time, Great Communication, Detailed Pool Contractor’s. I hired Orlando’s Best Pool Refinish company Classic Marcite to retile and put a pebble tec finish into our old pool. After shopping around and realizing that hiring another company means paying their markup on classic marcite, who they will sub out, I quickly realized it was best to go to the source, and I called the pros at Central Floridas Best Pool Contractor Classic Marcite and saved thousands. Jim came out and worked his magic to get our project within budget, and Jason and Devin took their time doing an awesome job on our tile. Ultimately Mike, one of the owners of Classic Marcite, Keith, and Jessica delivered 110%. Mike put a plan together to save us money and get my problems fixed right. Keith and 5 star manager Jessica were overly attentive to make sure to communicate when the tile and pebble tec specialist we’re coming and what to expect at each step along the way. If your looking to refinish your pool and tile, call Classic Marcite, you’ll be amazed at your new pool when their done and how much money you can save.

Hired to renovate pool. Unprofessional crew who leave messes and trash in the yard - and killed approx. 100 sq feet of my lawn by dumping acid on it. After they finished (the first time), as the pool was re-filling, I noticed several welts and light spots so I contacted them to tell them I was turning off the water so they could come back to see the half-ass job that was done. Dustin told me not to turn off the water or it would void my warranty, so I kept it going. They came out and had to drain the pool Again to fix their mistakes. I went on vacation and when I came back, the pool looks worse than it did the first time. Welts still in pool, light blotchy spots all throughout the finish and lumpy/uneven on the floor and some spots on the walls. Horrible! Texted Dustin yesterday and heard nothing back. Called office this morning and they are checking to see when a Supervisor can get out to my house - they are supposed to call me back. I have a feeling they are going to have to drain it AGAIN to fix it. What a waste of water. The pictures do not show how bad the pool really is. So disappointed. Hoping I can update this post with something positive soon.

How often should a pool be resurfaced in Florida?
Classic Marcite recommends resurfacing your pool every 10–15 years, depending on the material used, pool usage, water chemistry, and exposure to Florida's intense sun and humidity. Regular resurfacing protects your pool's structure and keeps it looking beautiful.
What are the signs my pool needs resurfacing?
Common signs include a rough or peeling surface, visible cracks or chips, persistent staining or discoloration, faded color, flaking plaster, and a dropping water level that may indicate leaks. If swimming feels uncomfortable on your feet and hands, it's likely time to resurface.
How long does pool resurfacing take?
Most residential pool resurfacing projects are completed in 5–7 days. Larger or more complex jobs — such as commercial pools or projects that include additional remodeling — may take 1–2 weeks.
How much does pool resurfacing cost in Orlando?
Pool resurfacing costs in the Orlando area typically range from $4,000 to $10,000, depending on pool size, the finish material selected, and the current condition of the pool. Classic Marcite provides free estimates and transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
What pool finish materials does Classic Marcite offer?
We offer a wide range of premium finishes including marcite/plaster, Pebble Tec®, Pebble Sheen®, Pebble Fina®, Beadcrete®, Diamond Brite, quartz aggregate, fiberglass, and tile finishes. Our team can help you choose the best material for your pool, budget, and aesthetic preferences.
What is marcite and how long does it last?
Marcite is a traditional pool plaster made from white Portland cement, marble dust, and water-resistance additives. It creates a smooth, durable interior coating and can last up to 15 years with proper maintenance. It's one of the most popular and cost-effective pool finishes in Florida.
What is Pebble Tec® and why do pool owners choose it?
Pebble Tec® is a premium pool finish made from natural pebble aggregates that offers exceptional durability, a textured natural look, and a longer lifespan than traditional plaster. Classic Marcite is the largest certified Pebble Tec® applicator in Central Florida, making us the go-to choice for this popular finish.
Can I resurface my pool during the off-season?

Yes. We specialize in pool deck resurfacing including acrylic lace coatings for a non-slip surface, Pebble Tec® deck applications, heat-relief coatings to keep surfaces cooler in Florida's sun, paver decking, and complete deck remodeling.
Does pool renovation increase home value?
Yes. A professionally renovated pool and deck area can significantly increase your home's curb appeal and resale value, especially in Florida where outdoor living is a major selling point. Many homeowners choose to renovate their pool before listing their home.
What types of pool repairs does Classic Marcite handle?
We handle structural crack repair, leak detection and repair, plumbing upgrades, equipment replacement (pumps, filters, heaters), tile repair, surface stain treatment, acid washing, pool light repair, salt chlorine generator installation, paver resealing, and water chemistry analysis.
