I neede to replace the knob on the door that goes from my garage to the kitchen. The lock on the door is keyed to match all the other exterior doors in my house, so I wanted the replacement knob rekeyed to match as well. All. The original lock sets were bought at Lowe’s so I went to them first. I called first to verify the person who keyed locks was available. It was 2:30 on a week day. The person who answered the phone assured me that was not a problem. We have 2 people here that can do it for you, at the moment. Got. There, picked up the door handle, went to the counter, asked for help. They called someone. He came and told me they haven’t had anyone on staff that can do that for 6 months. I told them what I was told on the phone, they repeated the statement and apologized. I understand that services are getting cut or more these days but when you call you should be told this because I would’ve just ordered the Door handle online from Amazon and saved myself the trip. And yes, I called the correct location. My problem is they should’ve told me over the phone that they don’t do that anymore. I ended up having to pay a locksmith $100 to do something that used to be included with the service. Cutting services and knowledgeable associates from retail stores are just driving customers to online sites instead.

INSTALLATION SERVICES: A+ for kitchen cabinets installation and fabrication. FAILED AND ENDANGERING ME AND MY PROPERTY for appliance installation. The double door oven was not installed by NEC (National Electrical Code) and the instruction manual. 13 windows and a sliding glass exterior door failed inspection twice and are still not installed by industry standards. The garage door operating system had to be replaced at the time of this review. When installed by Lowe’s Installation Services many mistakes were made causing structural damage to my garage. Lowe’s will hire anybody who says they are qualified to install anything.

I ordered a dehumidifier for my crawl space online (they aren’t cheap) and the one that came was used, had paint all over it, and missing a hose and god knows what other pieces.
To avoid a hassle of returning I still tried to use it… and they had sent me a unit that did not work. It was probably previously returned for this reason but they packed it up and sent it anyway.
The negative review I’m leaving is not just for that but the STORE. I went in person to return this and the self proclaimed manager “Latonya” was completely rude, unhelpful in resolving my issue, and not once expressed empathy for the bad situation Lowes had put me in. Kelly, another associate who didn’t state her title, proceeded with the refund and a cash return of the 3yr purchase protection I got with the item even though Latonya previously said it was impossible. This took about 45 minutes, a lot of frustration, and I will not be back to this location.
A lack of quality control in products and a serious lack of training for “Latonya” the “manager for 8 years.”
