Great facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The business model is what drives down the overall rating. Like most of these places, they totally bait and switch. You are offered a low teaser rate and, once your belongings are settled, you get notice of your rate increasing by as much as 100% due to “market”. This in addition to silly “admin” fees on initiation of the rental. If you look around at how many storage places exist, two things are clear: 1. we keep way too much crap, and 2. storage units are big business.
The Extra Space experience was pleasant enough, but consumers be aware what to expect after move-in.
