Security:
Each and everytime i have gone to my unit, I've found the access door propped open with wood angles stuck in the door jam?? What is the point of the door code if they are propping the locked security doors open?? How was my stuff supposed to be safe if they are either propping the doors open or allowing the other users to prop them open? Also, propping the doors open DOES NOTHING for being air cooled/ Temperature controlled. If you bring it up to them you'll get the excuse that "they can't control their tenants" - then CONTROL YOUR PROPERTY!
Misleading advertising: Temperature controlled units ARE NOT anywhere close to room temperature, cool or cold as they advertised, stated at signup, nor are they safe!! I have gone to me unit twice a week for the 2 months I stayed there only to find the air conditioning not coming on for the hour, two hours and some times 3 hours I was there organizing my boxes. The temperature outside those days I was there was way above 85°-90°and humid, and was weather stated "felt like even higher"! The air condition, air blower, whatever that thing is 'supposed' to be NEVER came on any of the days I was moving stuff around my unit and the access door was closed! While I get its not suppose to get cold in the units - it shouldn't be the same temp inside as it is outside THE THING DID NOT COME ON AT ALL ANYTIME. For what they charge for a temp controlled closet it should have been a walk-in freezer!!
Customer service: i had limited interactions with the office, but the 2-3 times the woman wasn't interested in being there - she was too busy with other things rather customers. When I originally came by I looked at the closet unit and had to show it myself because she was waiting on a call and couldn't leave the office. When I made her aware later that the doors were propped open, she said she knew and the regulars 'sometimes forget to close it", why am I paying for a temp controlled closet with someone who cannot remember to close or relock the door! She knows the people who are doing it and isn't doing nothing. When I left her office I drove to the other side of the supposedly temp controlled units and found wooden blocks at each door?? So is it the old forgetfull peoplw doing it or is it the storage unit leaving the doors open - to reduce ac use & save on power?? "Oh the door was open so the unit won't come on??" Honey that unit ain't coming on if the door is open or closed!
I checked out of that storage unit after my paid 2 months were up and moved closer into town and suggest anyone else do the same!
This place IS NOT safe, IS NOT temperature controlled and user friendly.
