There is a reason this store has such a low rating, and unfortunately, my experience with the manager, Donald, helped me understand why.
Security noticed that I looked quite lost in the bathroom vanity section and kindly asked if I needed help. He directed me to Donald. I explained the size of the vanity I needed, and Donald responded in a mocking manner, telling me there was no vanity in that size.
I explained that I already knew that. I was simply trying to look at the different cabinet styles, finishes, and sturdiness in person so I could decide what I liked. My contractor would handle the actual configuration and installation.
Instead of helping me, Donald asked me where I lived? Because the size of the vanity that big must be a huge bathroom, then looked me up and down, laughed, and simply walked away, leaving me standing there without any assistance.
What makes this worse is that I wasn’t there just to look at one vanity. I am remodeling an entire bathroom and also need a shower glass door, three faucets, a bathtub, and several other items. I was prepared to make a significant purchase.
I then approached another employee for help, but she said she was busy and told me to speak with the same gentleman who had just ignored me. When I asked who he was, I was shocked to learn that Donald was THE MANAGER. I was even told that there are better managers working in the mornings, would be better if I returned during that time.
Apparently, Donald has been working there for years. If he is bored, unhappy, or simply tired of dealing with customers, perhaps he should move to a position where customer service is not required. A manager should be setting the example for the rest of the staff, not laughing at customers, walking away from them, and providing absolutely no service.
Extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I came in ready to spend money on an entire bathroom remodel and left feeling like my business was not wanted.
