On June 17, 2025, I entered into a rental agreement with Extra Space Storage, 1789 Girvin Road, Jacksonville, Florida. My agreement was a covered parking space for my RV. The initial agreement was $206 per month and was placed on autopay with my credit card. After 4 months my monthly rental increased by 30% and 6 months later increased again by 30%. The total increase in my rental over 6 months was $140 per month. I was told they can increase their rental charge without notice. When I reviewed my rental agreement it requires a 30 day notice for any increase in my rental charge. I reported I was not given a 30 day notice for any rental increase and they stated a postcard was mailed to me. I find it interesting they were sending me monthly emails regarding my rental payments, but sent me a postcard notifying me regarding an increase in my rental charge. I never received any of their postcards. Before you enter into a rental agreement with Extra Space Storage you should consider my experience. Do you want to trust such a company?

I have now been a tenant/customer of Extra Space Storage for two years. The original sign up process was very easy and accessing the unit 24/7 is super convenient. It always feels secure.
