I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator at Lowes in Inverness. It was delivered today. Apparently, Lowes is outsourcing its delivery and installation. These are the problems I encountered. 1. I received a text that the window for delivery was 11 am to 3 pm. I planned my day around this window. They did not arrive until 4 and did not complete the job until almost 5. 2. Neither of the drivers spoke very good English. I could not fully understand them and they could not fully understand me, which eventually led to problems for lack of clear communication. Why Lowes would choose this company is beyond me? 3. I asked about the water dispenser on the outside of the refrigerator, which was not working. I never received an answer that I could understand. Eventually, I pulled out the refrigerator and changed the position of the handle on the water supply thinking that maybe they did not turn it back on. Water would not flow in either position. 4. I left a quality wrench that is part of a set on the counter. I had used it to disconnect the hose from the water supply and from the old refrigerator before they arrived. I left the wrench on the counter for them to use, which they did. They also took my wrench. 5. Finally, when I pulled the refrigerator out from the wall to check the water supply I noticed the electrical wire at the back of the unit had been damaged, leaving exposed wire. I suspect that they cut the wire when unwrapping the cord. Regardless, they had to have seen that the copper wire was exposed. It is quite obvious, yet they pushed the refrigerator back against the wall. This is a violation of Florida Building Code and State Laws (Chapter 41 Appliance Installation). The two employees that I have spoken to in the appliances department have been very knowledgeable, helpful, and understanding. Obviously they have nothing to do with the outsourcing of a very important aspect of selling, delivering, and installing major appliance purchases. This was a $2500 purchase. I would expect better, more qualified service. I am quite certain that this review will receive an AI generated response telling me how sorry they are and that I should contact them so that they can make it right. If a human being does actually read this post and responds, include the word DISAPPOINTED in your response. I would be pleasantly surprised.

I have not been to Lowe's in awhile. The floor staff was very helpful and the paint dept man was extremely helpful. The issue was checking myself out. There were no cashiers, everything was self checkout. I asked if there were any cashiers, a lady advised sometimes on lane 5 but I guess not now. I don't want to ring up and bag my items while 3 employees watch you. If you treat me like Im the employee, then I should get an employee discount. A new Home Depot is currently being built a few minutes up the road. If they have cashiers, that's where I'll be shopping. The 3 is for Lowe's in general, the floor staff get a 10.

I paid in full for my kitchen floor to be done with tiles. I was quoted a price, I paid it and everything else, up front. The workers came to the house to install the tiles. Neither spoke good English so communication was obviously pretty much nill. One of the workers crack was showing because he couldn't wear a belt. I was disgusted. Then, they were removing the original flooring and I got a call from Lowes saying that I had to pay more because the workers were "having a hard time removing the flooring". I was right there. They were not having a hard time at all. Someone from the upper office called me because I disputed the charge on the phone. Once you give someone a quote and it is paid in full it is NOT legal to add on fees for labor. I never heard from the upper office again. I am still waiting for my refund of the extra money I had to pay. I am livid.

We are only in Inverness for a short amount of time and purchased a refrigerator with a promise that it would be delivered in two days. They were supposed to call us the night prior to delivery and we never received that call. We called them the morning of delivery and they said that it was pushed back another day and possibly could be longer. I requested a refund and I will travel to Home Depot and not shop at Lowe’s anymore. They have lost our business and we do a lot of shopping at Lowe’s.

As a Lowe’s account holder, I went to find a new fridge. The salesman was very nice. My issue is non delivery of clearance sale items. We found a fridge on clearance for $1100 & were willing to pay delivery. The company won’t allow delivery of a clearance item. We (as seniors) were supposed to spend over 1k & delivery fee - but no delivery available. Luckily the competition can provide that service. Home Depot for the win & better price!!
