  Hobby Lobby always has things that you need for a current holiday, crafts, an upcoming holiday, or a special occasion. The selection is enormous. There really is something for everybody. Best of all, the prices are great. If you haven't been, you need to go today!

  As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted by Katy. However, once she noticed I had a bag in my hand, she immediately asked if I had a return. I told her yes, and she responded by saying, “I’ll take your bag, and we can take care of everything when you come back up front.” I then asked, “So I can’t bring my own bag with me while I shop?” She replied, “Oh no, we’ll just keep it here until you finish.” What made this interaction upsetting was that there were other customers of another race walking around the store with their return or exchange bags without being asked to leave them at the front. This made me feel singled out and racially profiled. This is the second time this has happened to me at this same location, and both times I contacted corporate afterward. If there is no official policy requiring customers to surrender their bags while shopping, then why does it seem that only certain customers are being asked to do so? No customer should be made to feel targeted, uncomfortable, or treated differently while shopping.
