Very disappointing experience — September 2, 2026
My wife had a very uncomfortable experience at Hobby Lobby today, September 2, 2026, between approximately 12:55 PM and 1:00 PM. My wife is a very friendly and respectful person, and we have spent a lot of money shopping at this location over the years, so this experience was especially disappointing.
She was checking out and had an issue with her card. I was at work at the time, so she had to call me to transfer money to her so she could complete the purchase. She was only waiting a few minutes for the transfer to go through, but the lady at the cash register, whose name is Jordana, was extremely rude and had a very unpleasant attitude. At one point, she even asked someone else to pay for my wife, which was completely unnecessary.
While my wife was shopping, she also felt like she was being followed and watched by another employee, which made her very uncomfortable, especially since she had our two young children with her. On top of that, the employee spoke to our toddler in a very rude manner after she touched some fabric.
My wife was not being disrespectful or causing any problems. She was simply trying to make her purchase while waiting a few minutes for me to transfer the money. We understand employees have difficult customers and busy days, but there is no reason to treat a customer or a small child this way.
We have always enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby and have spent a significant amount of money here, but after this experience, my wife left feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. I hope management looks into what happened and addresses how customers are being treated at this location.
