We just love coming to Leslie‘s Pool Supply in Altamonte Springs. We had tried one of their principal competitors for years, and all we ever got was a back-and-forth changing of chemicals, to put more money in their penny-pinching pockets! Since we switched to Leslie‘s, everything has been much more consistent and a whole lot less cost…and particularly due to the service and expertise of Mari. In fact, we actually drive from Sanford past multiple other Leslie facilities just to have Mari test the water from both our pool and spa, and then to tell us what we need to do to keep them both looking sparkling! She has been a true godsend in keeping our facilities looking fabulous. We do NOT even question her recommendations, as she has been spot on for several years now! Her store partner Joey is being trained by her to be just as customer focused, and he too is proving just as worthy of our trust! Both of them maintain excellent customer relation skills as well. Much appreciated by George and Nancy, your very loyal customers!!!

I had a very disappointing experience at Leslie's Pool Supply. Last week, I spoke with a manager regarding a filter I purchased that caused my pool system to stop running. He told me I could return it for store credit. When I came back today, I stood at the front of the store for several minutes without anyone acknowledging me. After repeatedly calling out for assistance, Joey finally came out. I explained the situation, showed him my receipt, and provided the filter. He immediately accused me of bringing in an old filter and repeatedly insisted it wasn't theirs, despite the receipt proving otherwise. A manager named Mary came out and confirmed that the filter was in fact sold by Leslie's, but she and Joey continued insisting it looked "years old." Of course it looked dirty—I had installed it in a dirty pool, and the entire reason I was returning it was because it caused my system to stop working. I explained that I had no reason to try to deceive anyone over a $56 filter, but instead of handling the situation professionally, Mary began yelling at me and even pointed her finger in my face. At that point, I started recording because the interaction had become hostile. She then told me to leave the store, even though I had been the one treated disrespectfully throughout the encounter. Eventually, they issued the store credit that another manager had already approved, but because of the chaos I wasn't even able to complete the rest of my business, including having my pool water tested and purchasing chlorine. I expect better customer service and professionalism, especially from management. Questioning a return is one thing, but yelling at customers and treating them as though they are dishonest is completely unacceptable.

I, most of the time get served by a midle aged gentleman or a about same aged lady and both very helpful about pool treatments and explaining how to use products. But last time there was a younger skinny dude, visibly not happy to see me. I came in and as soon I see him said good afternoon, to which he gestured to go around the counter. I obliged and he proceeded to the water testing; while the machine tested the sample he went back stocking the shelf. About 5 minutes went by, he went back to the station, printed 2 leaf of papers and kind slammed on the counter and went back to stocking the shelf. So far not a word!! I asked him if I needed to add anything on the pool and he answered it was printed on the paper; then he added: you need acid. Back home I took a look at the print and I am low on salt, chlorine, high on phosphate. Not what I expected from a professional and definitely not at the standard of the first two employees. If the young man doesn’t like the job I suggest him to find something more appropriate and away from people.
