- MYMartin YulesJun 13, 20265.0I had virtually no lawn after attempts of conventional seeding by my builder, and hydroseeding by my landscaper. The problems were that most of my property is on a hill with significant run off, and secondly, the composition of my soil was lacking in most minerals and humus. After conferring with Natural Lawn, they made a program of applying fertilizers and minerals to assist in re-starting grass growing process. By that next fall, aeration and seeding was very successful, and has continued to improve over the past two years to where I now have more than 95% coverage. I have also enhanced the process by applying topdressing each fall to improve the organic composition of the soil. Any existing bare spots are small mostly due to water run off or wood debri and/or rocks just under the surface of the soil. With a little treatment of these objects, I am confident we will be at 100% coverage within a year or two.
