Typical Hobby Lobby EXCEPT there are no cashiers… ever. Today, there were 9 people in each of 2 lines (18 total) when they called for a backup. A manager came and said she couldn’t help because she was working in fabric. She couldn’t let the front end supervisor on to check because she had to be in fabric. By then, there were 20 people in line. It would be one thing if this was an occasional issue. This issue happens every time I go regardless of day or time of day. This store doesn’t believe in checking people out. Isn’t the purpose of retail to sell things to customers when they put them in their basket and go into a checkout stand? I feel bad for the cashiers because you can tell they are frustrated. Squarely in management. I have pictures but don’t want to post people without permission. Receipt to show when I was there.
Hire some help or get a self checkout.

Hobby Lobby has always confused me. I don’t know if they all do this, but the entry and a couple aisles inside the store are always crammed with “sale” items. It seems like they over buy on a lot of things and then put them on clearance so shoppers might feel they’re getting a deal. They aren’t. Even if some things are a deal, others start out absurdly high like the artificial flowers. I was a Joann (So-Fro, Cloth World) shopper from way back so I have a pretty good idea of prices and quality. Sorry Hobby Lobby, you don’t match other stores in quality, displays, and customer service.
Then … there’s how the Christian owners actually treat the staff. Imagine this: you work at Hobby Lobby and eagerly wait for the ACA, ObamaCare\* to take effect because the meds you need for polycystic ovarian syndrome have been increasing in price. For some reason, the Green family decides they know more about treating your body than your own physican does! They think they have a right to control what meds are allowable and what aren’t. Wow. Because they aren’t medically trained they confuse the hormone pills that treat PCOS and oral contraceptives. They can and may be identical and
A) the medical issues of employees are none of their business, and
B) why on earth do they think that they can push their so-called Christian beliefs on anyone?
C) The Greens are just some people who decide they don’t need to follow the law or their own religious canon.
D) They should not be able to push their religion on to anyone- but our Not-So- Supreme-Court and the minions that voted to accept these ideologues apparently don’t
E) understand the first amendment to the US Constitution.
I wager that about an even dozen Christians know that they only time abortion is mentioned in the Bible is in order to instruct women on how to do it.
Hobby Lobby claimed they were an essential service during Covid-19 and made employees risk exposing themselves to a nasty virus that killed a lot of people. Why did the owners decide they should remain open? The “ChristIan” owner prayed about it and, lo and behold, God said it was cool because some people claim that their best interests line up with “Gods.” Give me a break.
* Yes, folks, they were the same.

They will not honor poorly placed sale signs. It's great that the workers know what the sale is on, the signs should be better at reflecting it. They will refuse to honor the pricing. I went to Michaels instead which had a much speedier check out and more relaxing atmosphere and saved $4.
The cashier was nice though.

I was in a huge rush because I didn't plan someone's birthday well and they were leaving and I had to be back at their place by a certain time after work. There was a long line and Noah, the manager, managed to get me in and out as quickly as possible with a return as he could because he understood I was in a rush. I appreciate him because this was not his problem, but he helped me get back to where I needed to be on time. I made it with 3 minutes to spare! Thank you so much Noah, I appreciate your help. It means so much to me that you saw me as a person with desperation rather than just some customer who was annoying you LOL. God bless you, Noah, and thank you again so much!

Was looking for a specific craft item, found the section and the item but not exactly what what I had in mind. All good as I have always found Hobby Lobby well stocked. Staff is there somewhere but for the most part you are on your own. Note that the restroom is locked and needs a code, get it from the cashier when you walk in so you don't have to hunt for it later during your visit. All in all it's a pretty laid back atmosphere and you can find what you came for.
