My wife and I had been to Home Depot prior to stopping in the store. The customer service was much better at Lowes and the store seemed more organized. Jehan even helped me measure out some larger items and load them in the car out in the parking lot!
My wife also said the plant selection was better at Lowes, happy wife happy life!

Went there on a late Sunday afternoon to return a lawn mower that stopped working. The return was fast and easy. I couldn’t carry the new lawn mower and one of their employees came and helped me carry it all the way to the register. He was so polite and very helpful.

I attempted to have a piece of wood cut and asked an associate for assistance. I was told someone would help me, but after waiting about five minutes with no one showing up, I asked another associate. Again, I was told someone would be with me shortly.
After waiting another 10 minutes, I flagged down two more employees. They told me they thought the lumber saw might be out of service, but neither of them had ever personally cut wood, they didn’t know whether anyone working that day was able to operate the saw, and apparently there was no lumber associate on staff.
Eventually, I was told the saw was definitely out of service. However, there was no sign or notice anywhere on the saw indicating that it was out of service, which means I had spent all that time waiting for assistance that was never actually available.
What made the experience particularly frustrating was the complete lack of follow-through. I spoke with four different associates on three separate occasions. Each time, I was told I would be helped, and each time the employee simply walked away and never came back.
If the saw was out of service or there was no qualified employee available to operate it, someone could have simply told me that from the beginning. Instead, I was repeatedly told help was coming and left standing there waiting.
The customer service was extremely poor, and the employees I dealt with showed very little initiative or concern about actually helping a customer.

I got contacted by the police saying someone complained about generator noise I don't have a camper nor rv just a pickup yet I had to leave I was told not to come back but I see this guy and others still hanging there at night it's unfair.

We just bought a grill; complete with the spiderwebs, dirt, and leaves that were stuck on it. The employee that was helping us said "I'll be right back" and never returned. My husband and I (we're both elderly) loaded it ourselves. The tires stuck out too high so we couldn't close our bed cover. We didn't have the tools to take the tire off and when we finally found someone to help us - guess what?? It's store policy not to help a customer when the item has already been loaded!!!!! We bought a pair of pliers and did it ourselves in about 10 seconds. Lousy service all around. Think I'll go Home Depot next time!
