Absolutely the worst experience dealing with carpet orders and custom screen doors at Lowe's in Grand Junction. Although most employees were friendly, the communication between staff members was extremely poor and inconsistent.
We were sold and charged twice for carpet that was supposedly “in stock,” only to later find out it was unavailable both times. The third attempt finally worked only after escalating the issue to management.
The inventory system appears to be very disorganized, either because it is not user-friendly or because employees are not properly trained on how to use it. Every visit involved employees digging through the system trying to locate orders, often giving conflicting information about availability and timelines.
Overall, the experience was frustrating, time-consuming, and unnecessarily stressful. Better employee training, communication, and inventory management are clearly needed.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
