    I hate leaving negative reviews, and I genuinely tried to give this location the benefit of the doubt. Nina was always very kind, and the young man who initially helped me find my unit the day I moved in was also great. Unfortunately, outside of those two employees, my experience was consistently disappointing. The problems started before I even moved in. I attempted to reserve my unit online several days in advance because I was preparing to leave town for a funeral. During checkout, the website glitched while I was entering my payment information. When I tried to return to my reservation using the confirmation email, I kept receiving errors and was forced to call customer service. The representative I spoke with was nice and helpful, but because the online reservation could not be recovered, I was unable to receive the original pricing. Instead, I ended up paying more money for a smaller unit simply because I urgently needed storage after selling my home. Things only got worse from there. While I was out of town grieving with family, I began receiving increasingly aggressive phone calls telling me I needed to move in immediately or risk losing my unit. When I called the office, I explained that I was attending a funeral and was told I only had 48 hours to complete move-in. When I returned home, I packed my car and called ahead to confirm someone would be available to provide access to my unit. I was told the office would remain open for another hour, although they planned to close early because of high winds. I arrived approximately 20 minutes later to find the office locked. An employee was sitting at the front desk but did not acknowledge me until I rang the doorbell. When she finally came to the door, she seemed irritated that I had rung it, despite the sign specifically instructing customers to do so. The interaction felt unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. I also brought a brand-new lock with me, only to be informed upon arrival that I was required to purchase one of theirs instead. Like most people, I expect storage rates to increase occasionally. What I did not expect was for my monthly rent to nearly double after only 90 days because the unit was supposedly in "high demand." The final straw came after I was involved in a serious accident that left me temporarily unable to work. I fell behind on my storage payments and called to make a partial payment and set up a payment arrangement. The company accepted my payment arrangement, but I was informed that my unit would still be placed into pre-foreclosure status and charged a mandatory, non-refundable $120 fee within two days. It didn't matter that I had made a payment or was actively working with them to bring the account current. At that point, I realized I should have moved out when the rates doubled. The location was convenient, which is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Today I scheduled my move-out, and honestly, I cannot wait to be done. Between the pricing, the customer service, the inflexibility, and the overall lack of empathy during some very difficult personal circumstances, this has been one of the worst storage rental experiences I've ever had. If you're considering a storage facility, I would strongly encourage you to look at other options before choosing this location.

    I had an outstanding experience at this Extra Space Storage location thanks to the exceptional manager Nina. From the moment I arrived, she provided top-tier customer service with a warm, welcoming attitude. She also has an impressive understanding of every procedure, and detail related to the storage process. Nina took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. What really stood out was how personable and knowledgeable she was. Nina even offering helpful information about the local area and current events going on in Curacao, which made the interaction feel genuine and engaging. She gave me some great information on the island that will help me be more prepared for my cruise vacation. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness so naturally. This location is fortunate to have such an outstanding manager representing the business. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a great place to store your valuables or just a few knick nacks, stop by ESS on Crestline and spend some time letting Nina take care of all your needs.
