- GAGoogle Account4 days ago4.0I was here from 2021 to 2026 renting a 5x5 inside unit. Over the course of this time my rent increased from $38 to $83 on move out. Folks, that is a 118 percent increase. Absolutely silly pricing. That said the people that RUN the facility are great. They were always friendly to me and kept the place in good condition. Every interaction I had with the staff was positive and I sincerely appreciate that.

- RRRobert RomaineApr 30, 20261.0Extra space storage is running a pretty blatant bait and switch. I signed up for a small 5x5 storage unit a few months ago at $33 per month. I had to pay some upfront costs like administrative fees and cost of the lock which was alright. But about a month before the prepaid portion of my rental was over they cranked up my rent to exactly double ($66!) what my previous rent was. The website makes no mention of the rate being some kind of introductory offer and according to the site manager that called me, they do this on all units that are reserved online. See my attached screenshot showing that my rate is $33 and when my next payment was supposed to be. A quick google search will show that they are being sued for this EXACT practice in other states. As an added bonus, the unit I rented was dirty when I received it, didn't have the lock inside like it was supposed to and the alarm system for the building with my unit was loudly erroring out every time I visited.
