  My family and I recently bought a new construction home that needed window treatments throughout. This was going to be a big project so I really wanted to do my homework to find the best. During this process I contacted about 8-9 different window treatment companies in South OC. For the most part, the products offered and costs were very comparable among all of them, but where California Shades stood out was in their amazing customer service. With other companies I noticed communication was very poor, scheduling was very complicated, service felt very “production line” type, others even had attitudes like they were doing us a favor rather than providing a service. California Shades was a night and day difference. From day one Kenny was incredible. He was very flexible in scheduling our first consultation and every appointment after that. He was always quick to respond, answered all our questions and provided all the information we needed. During our appointments he took the time to explain everything with detail and clearly, and he was meticulous in documenting measurements and our vision for the house so he could give the best quote possible. He was very polite and respectful and always so so patient with us while we discussed and decided between styles, colors and fabrics. Gerardo was in charge of installation and he too was very friendly and polite. It was clear this was his expertise because he was meticulous and careful during the process. He explained everything he was doing and gave us advice on how to position certain shades in windows that had a different depth than others. We even had a shade that was defective from manufacturing, I honestly probably wouldn’t even had noticed it right away, but Gerardo did and he immediately reported it and started the ordering process to get a replacement. After installation, everything was left clean and all moved items were put back in place and our house now looks so beautiful. Nothing about California Shades felt rushed or forced. They pride themselves in providing excellent customer service and truly they do. This was a significant financial investment for us and we wanted to make sure that we were getting not only the best product but also the best service. I know there are many options for window treatments out there but among the many I considered, California Shades was by far the best and I HIGHLY recommend them.

  Paulo was the consummate professional throughout our window treatment process. He visited with my husband to display choice, discuss industry standards, and share pricing differences. He left samples for me to review and even came back out to show the full selection of shades and blinds to me. Upon selection, installation went very well and we are loving our new window treatments. Paulo also has a great vibe and introduced us to other home professionals in the area.

  I cannot recommend California Shade highly enough. The price was good compared to the bids we received, but the service was really top notch through the whole process. We did built-in motorized screen walls as part of a remodel and they were great about working with my contractor to ensure the job was done right amongst the rest of the work. This is definitely a company that cares about providing a quality product and service to the best of their ability; I really wish there were more like them.

  The process from quote to installation was smooth and painless. Kenny and Paul were great to work with. Lots of options to choose from. Competitive pricing and top notch customer service. Would highly recommend.

  Fantastic experience from quote to install. Their customer service is unmatched and even the products they had available to choose were better quality/more to choose from. The install team was fast and professional and we love how it all turned out. Will be going back to them for all future shade related needs and will recommend to anyone in need. Blew the big name companies out of the water.
