  honestly the whole vibe was ruined from the start because the check in person was on their phone the entire time im just standing there waiting. the water pressure in the shower was shockingly good though like way better than i expecred which honestly made up for a little of the hassle. price is a bit high for what it is but the place is clean and the steam room works great... staff seemed mostly helpful after they finaly looked up from thier screens. id probably book again but i’d bring my own music next time.

  Renter beware: Be prepared to be significantly gouged on your monthly rate here. We were lured in with a competitive introductory rate, but that lasted all of three months. We weren't thrilled with the $82.65 increase in month 4, but understood that the introductory rate wouldn't last and decided to stick it out. And we likely would have stayed through the end of 2026. But six months later, the rate went up another $95. That meant a 171% increase from our initial rate. Ridiculous. I guess they wanted us out. The two stars awarded here were in recognition of the facility itself. In our experience, it was secure, properly maintained and well lit. Motion detector lights in the long hallways worked as expected as did the freight elevator/lift for moving large items in an out of the unit. But the rate increases were excessive and unacceptable.

  I have had an excellent experience with Extra Space Storage on Melrose in Vista. The facility is always clean, well-maintained, and secure, which gives me peace of mind knowing my belongings are safe. What really sets this location apart is the outstanding customer service. The staff are consistently friendly, professional, and helpful. Sandy, in particular, goes above and beyond to make every interaction pleasant and stress-free. She is knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely cares about providing great service. It’s refreshing to find a storage facility that is both exceptionally clean and staffed by people who truly value their customers. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a safe, reliable, and professionally managed storage facility.

  Sandy, please get a new job or find someone that's better at customer service. You're unfriendly. Difficult. You refuse to do your job. Do better, Sandy. No one wants to work with soemone who can't warmly welcome a new customer into the business. You're a poor representation of the company you work for. They should replace you with someone that would give customers a warm and welcoming experience. Make sure you kiss up to Sandy. Otherwise she'll refuse to do her job and ask you to find another storage business.
