  I picked up an online order recently, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. As I walked in, there was an older employee with short white hair at the front of the store. She didn’t greet or acknowledge me, even though I was standing there waiting. While I was there, I noticed her mouthing comments to another employee about a different customer who had come to pick up an online order. I could not hear what was being said, though it was unprofessional and gave the impression that customers were being judged. This wasn’t my first negative interaction with this employee. During a previous visit, I asked her to repeat herself because I have hearing loss in one ear. Instead of responding with patience or understanding, she repeated herself in a very cold and dismissive manner, which made me feel uncomfortable. After reading other reviews, I noticed that similar concerns about customer service have been raised by multiple people. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of how they look or who they are. I left feeling that some customers may be judged based on their appearance, and no one should feel unwelcome while simply picking up an order. I hope management takes these repeated concerns seriously and addresses the importance of professionalism, courtesy, and treating every customer with dignity and respect.

  If I could give 0 stars I would, it was our first time coming here and instead of letting us explain what the employee saw us put in our bag we were told once we were heading out by security that our mom could not return within a year because of said item she was apparently concealing in her bag. The item the employee saw was my moms phone. Had World Market checked there cameras they would’ve seen that. Extremely embarrassing that they didn’t even approach us or ask us to confirm what it is they saw. Never coming back again. Waste of money to be treated like so.
