★☆☆☆☆ – Ordering Windows from Lowe’s Was a Huge Mistake
Ordering windows from Lowe’s has been one of the most frustrating purchasing experiences I’ve ever had. I was given three different delivery dates. They missed the first two, then pushed the delivery back another week, and now they’ve delayed it yet again.
The excuses never end. First they blamed the manufacturer. Then they blamed the shipping company. Here’s the problem with that—I didn’t buy my windows directly from the manufacturer, and I didn’t buy them from the shipping company. I bought them from Lowe’s. Lowe’s took my money, Lowe’s accepted my order, and Lowe’s is responsible for making sure I receive what I paid for.
Instead of taking ownership, they keep pointing fingers at everyone else. Their tracking system is practically worthless because it doesn’t clearly tell you when your order will actually arrive. Every time I call, nobody seems to know anything. I get different answers from different employees, and no one can give me a straight answer or a reliable delivery date.
I have a deadline for my project, and because of Lowe’s repeated delays and poor communication, my entire schedule has been thrown off. This experience has been unacceptable from start to finish.
If you’re considering ordering custom windows from Lowe’s, think twice. You’re taking a gamble with your time, your project, and your money. A company this size should stand behind its orders instead of blaming everyone else. I will never order windows from Lowe’s again.

I came to buy two or three portable air-conditioning units and some deducting materials. It’s only $2000 maybe $2500 total but there were no carts anywhere. I asked three different employees not a single one of them could find a cart or Help find a card, but pointed me to locations where there were no carts. I did count a total of seven different employees standing around talking not doing anything whatsoever and ignoring not just me but two or three other customers. I tried calling Lowe’s to ask for the manager to let them know and the offshore customer service data. Bank wanted to know the ZIP Code of my location and let me know. They can’t tell me who the manager is.

I frequently the Lowe’s in Oxnard and majority of the time I have a good experience. Lowe’s is great with accepting returns and most of the employees in each department are good. Some of the cashiers are a bit awkward and don’t offer much help. The younger employees don’t have the skill set as the seasoned older adult employees. The younger employees are very lazy and not very helpful at all. The past couple of time going to Lowe’s is a hit or miss with employee helpfulness. I go to Lowe’s because it is closer to my house, but I am tempted to drive the extra mile or two to The Home Depot if my experience at Lowe’s with the younger employees continues with uselessness and not willing to be helpful. I am more willing to ask an older Lowe’s employee because at least I know I will get a response appropriately and helpfulness.
