My husband and I approached an older white male in the paint department in regards to a paint color we were trying to find and he was very disinterested in helping us. We felt shoved off as he said “that’s just a picture I can’t help you with that”. The way in which he behaved was extremely uncalled for and he could have used a different approach if he felt that he couldn’t help us. No ductwork service at all. If he doesn’t like to help people then he shouldn’t work in customer service. This is why we stick to Home Depot.

Pretty garden section, but they really need to better train employees. I asked 3 different people if they still discount ripped bags of soil, & not a single person knew the answer. I finally went up to garden center register and the cashier couldn’t even answer. At that point I was so frustrated by bouncing around from employee to employee that didn’t have the answer to a fairly common garden center question that I just left without purchasing anything.

I recently ordered over 100 bags of mulch from Lowe’s for a large backyard project and had it delivered. I hired a crew of four workers to spread the mulch, with two working on each side of the yard. Once the job was completed, I went outside to check the work and immediately noticed a major issue. Lowe’s had delivered two completely different types of mulch. Although the bags were identical, the contents were not. Half of the mulch was a dark brown color, while the other half was an orange-brown. The texture was also noticeably different. Because the crew was working on opposite sides of the yard, there was no practical way for them to catch the discrepancy during installation. It only became obvious once the entire job was finished. I contacted the store and spoke with a manager named Nathan, but unfortunately, the experience only got worse. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he attempted to place the blame on me, suggesting I should have noticed the difference beforehand. When I explained the situation, he then told me to contact the manufacturer directly. This response makes no sense. Lowe’s is the retailer that pulled the product, fulfilled the order, and delivered it to my home. Whether the issue is a defective batch or the wrong product being mixed in, that responsibility should not fall on the customer, especially after a large delivery order. I expected better customer service and accountability, especially given the size of the purchase and the cost of labor involved. At a minimum, Lowe’s should stand behind the products they deliver and work toward a reasonable solution instead of redirecting responsibility elsewhere. Very disappointing experience.
