  I bought a chair two years ago for $350. While holding a one-year-old baby, the welding in the chair snapped underneath me and sent us plummeting to the floor. Thankfully I was able to brace my child during the fall. When I called customer support, I was told it’s out of warranty and there’s nothing they can do. I requested that they issue a safety notice or recall for the defective product; they simply said they would look into it. I doubt they will do anything. I would NOT buy your furniture from World Market. It looks and feels good but, in my experience, it will break and isn’t worth the price. No wonder they only warrant their products for one year, and offer zero support after that point. Don’t waste your hard-earned money!

  Had a terrible experience here today. Came in quickly to grab a gift for some friends 30 mins before they closed. Not long after entering, a staff member - 'a young blond woman' approached me sounding annoyed and let me know they would be closing soon. I politely responded that I understood and we were just grabbing a couple things. Then literally as we’re leaving to check out (mind you we are standing in front of the checkout line) my six-year-old daughter picks up something just to show me. The same woman gets close to us and with a shooing motion with her hands, tells us it’s two minutes before closing. Her tone was aggressive and super disrespectful. I told her we understood and we were checking out immediately. She could clearly see I had my daughter with me and was trying to get her out of the store, but she seemed more concerned with just getting us out as soon as possible. I have worked retail before and I definitely understand wanting to get out on time, but I have never met anyone who behaved like this. I think World Market needs to better train their staff in customer service. It was not like we had stayed past closing time. We were literally leaving one minute before so this was just rude and innappropriate.

  Johnny was extremely helpful, patient in assisting online pickup order and mixups in order fulfillment. The initial cashier register staff was extremely standoffish and unwilling to help, but once I asked for help, Johnny helped me sort out the confusion.
