I don't know why anyone would ever go to Thompson's when everything about my experience at Site One Design Center was a million times better. The two experiences couldn't be farther apart — everyone at Thompson's seemed to have the bare minimum of product knowledge and looked like they hated their jobs, while everyone at Site One was genuinely knowledgeable and clearly wanted to help.
I'm so glad we ended up coming here. Carl in particular was an incredible resource for us, and he's continued to be even after our visit was over. We were having a hard time deciding what to do, and this experience was so good that I had to come write a review about it.

I ordered around 10 cubic yards of stone and mulch, so it was a fairly large delivery. Jack helped me with the order, and he was knowledgeable, helpful, and great to work with.
However, my low rating is due to the delivery service. SiteOne repeatedly changed both the delivery day and the delivery time with little or no communication. Most people can't have a large pile of rock and mulch blocking their driveway for an entire day. Deliveries like this require coordinating workers to move the material, and the homeowner often needs to be present to provide access to the driveway.
What was most frustrating was that there was no proactive communication when the schedule changed, and no opportunity to discuss alternative delivery times. The delivery date and time were essentially decided after I had already paid for the materials, which is simply not an acceptable way to handle deliveries of this size.
