  For a "big box" store, it has a surprisingly limited variety of stock. I went there needing a simple small bag of charcoal briquets but all they had available was a two-pack of extra large bags. And don't rely on merchandise actually being "in stock" just because their website says it is.

  Love this store overall. Sad to see that the ladybugs in plastic containers aren't in a refrigerator to be kept alive and lessen the amount that die with no food or water. Saw them on my last visit, most of the containers had over half of them dead as they're being displayed on a cardboard self next to the outdoor register exposed to the heat. Considering our recent 80-90 degree weather this past week, kind of cruel IMO. "Keeping the temperature between 35°F and 45°F induces a safe, hibernation-like dormancy. This slows their metabolism, preserves their fat reserves, and prevents them from waking up, burning energy, or suffocating inside the packaging before customers buy them." -University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR)

  I am writing this review to warn others about the appalling experience I had at the Lowe’s in Fremont. This store is a complete disaster. Not only did they charge me double for my items, but when I caught the error and requested a cancellation, they flat-out lied and claimed it was processed when it wasn't. To make matters worse, when I tried to resolve the situation, the staff treated me like a common criminal. They actually had the audacity to demand my personal information, including my name and phone number, under the guise of "reviewing the footage" to see if I was telling the truth. I have never been treated with such disrespect and incompetence at a retail store. If you value your time, your money, and your dignity, stay far away from this location. Their customer service is non-existent, and their business practices are predatory.

  We chose Lowe’s for our kitchen appliances because we believed they would stand behind their products and their service. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences we’ve ever had. Our original delivery was scheduled for Thursday, June 25. On Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m., we received a text that our delivery window had changed, so we rearranged our entire day. Then, at 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning, we received an email stating that our entire order had been delayed because one item wasn’t in stock. Why wasn’t this discovered the day before? My husband had already taken the day off work, and instead of notifying us in advance, Lowe’s waited until the morning of delivery. Even more frustrating, we were told they didn’t call to ask whether we wanted the other appliances delivered because “it was too early.” That wasn’t a courtesy—it took away our ability to make a decision that could have kept our kitchen project moving. The store manager assured us that everything would be delivered on Friday. We even received a delivery window Thursday evening after 7:00 p.m. Then, at 6:00 a.m. Friday morning, he called to say our credit card had been declined and that we needed to contact customer service. Customer service immediately confirmed that our card had not been declined. The problem was an internal Lowe’s IT issue, yet we were still told nothing would be delivered that day. By Saturday, my husband had already taken two days off work. I had paid for two nights in a hotel with our three children under the age of six so he could complete our kitchen renovation. Our scheduled delivery window was 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., yet after 1:00 p.m. we were still waiting with no meaningful communication. Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. The final piece of our appliance order was not delivered until Thursday, July 23—nearly a month after our original delivery date. Throughout that entire time, we had to initiate every follow-up ourselves. No one at Lowe’s proactively kept us informed. I contacted the Fremont Lowe’s store more than 20 times trying to get updates. The appliance manager repeatedly promised to call me back, yet I never received a single return phone call. I was eventually referred to Tom in Customer Relations, but that experience was equally disappointing. Rather than listening to my concerns, he consistently dismissed them. Before I could fully explain what our family had experienced, he would simply tell me that he “knew how I felt.” Instead of taking ownership of the situation or working toward a resolution, I felt like I was being rushed off the phone. The Fremont appliance manager also told tom she had issued a $300 credit for the inconvenience. We have never received that credit. Now Tom has informed us that because the store supposedly already issued compensation, there is nothing more he can do—even though that compensation has never actually appeared on our account. After spending five years saving for this budget-friendly kitchen remodel, Lowe’s repeated mistakes, poor communication, and lack of accountability have cost our family thousands of dollars in unexpected expenses, lost wages, hotel stays, project delays, and countless hours spent trying to get basic information about an order we had already paid for. What has been most disappointing is not that mistakes happened. Mistakes happen with every company. What matters is how a company communicates, takes responsibility, and makes things right. Throughout this entire process, Lowe’s failed at every one of those opportunities. A $300 credit—which we have not even received—is nowhere near an appropriate resolution for a two-month ordeal caused almost entirely by Lowe’s internal errors and lack of communication.

  I went today to look cabinet shelves and they kept me running from one corner to another. Staff was NOT helpful at all. Staff seem to play hide and seek with customers with no intent to help. Save yourself time and go to Home Depot instead.
