"There was a language barrier and a bit of a communication mix-up between the technician and my elderly father today. The technician called and kindly agreed to come back to finish the exterior service, and my last text went unanswered. I see the service has been marked as completed, but I am not sure if the yard was actually treated. I don't want anyone to get into trouble, but I would really appreciate it if customer service could contact me to clarify and potentially reschedule the treatment if it was missed. Thank you!"

To Whom It May Concern,
I am submitting a formal complaint regarding repeated solicitation at my residence despite a prior complaint and explicit request to be placed on Aptive’s do-not-knock list.
In May, 2025, I reported concerns regarding aggressive solicitation and requested that my address be excluded from future door-to-door contact. They wrote back on May 5th stating I was on the Do Not Knock List.
Despite that request, an Aptive representative returned to my residence again this week on May 15, 2026.
My property displays two separate “No Soliciting” signs, including one posted directly at the doorbell, making it highly unlikely that the representative was unaware of the notice. The interaction was again pushy despite these clearly communicated boundaries.
At this point, the issue is no longer a single unwanted solicitation attempt. It raises concerns about whether prior complaints, do-not-knock requests, and visible no-soliciting notices are being honored or enforced within your organization.
I request the following in writing:
• Confirmation of whether my May 5, 2025 complaint resulted in my address being added to Aptive’s do-not-knock list;
• An explanation for why my residence was contacted again despite a prior opt-out request and posted notices;
• Confirmation that my address has been permanently removed from all future solicitation activity;
• Preservation of records relating to my prior complaint, address status, and representative activity connected to this incident.
If this matter is not promptly addressed, I am prepared to escalate concerns to applicable consumer protection and local regulatory agencies and provide documentation of prior complaints and posted signage.
Please confirm resolution in writing.

When first getting service for first 3 months everything was perfect. After that. Active employees drop the ball. They give you a 8hr window, then a 30min text that they will be on the way. I expressed many times this doesn't work for me!! I am losing more money then I am paying them. And now I get employees that don't have any passion in their work! I constantly need get into a argument with the workers of why do I need to tell them what there job is to do. Today everything went great. I had my dogs put inside to do the yard. After my son waited for him to say he was done with the yard. And he was gonna put dogs out so he can do the inside. But he packed up and left!! He shows me the work he did. And I asked if he went inside? He said no! Instead of saying he will go back and doing the work. He said I never asked him to go inside. As he can see on my previous services the inside hasn't been done in 3 months. He was a total prick about it!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!! OTHER FRIENDS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME BS!! Please contact me to address my concerns and your poor work ethics that your employees have!!

These predatory door-to-door workers have knocked and rang my doorbell three times in the past 24 hours. After both my husband and I politely declined and started closing the door, they step closer, raise their voices, and continue to argue their pre-scripted selling points about their services. This company seriously needs to take a hint. If you’re so great, then you don’t need to harass working families 24/7 by soliciting and begging door-to-door.
BTW, we have no neighbors named Susannah. They inaccurately boast to get your attention then feed you lies to take your money.
I’ll never be answering the door for these fools again unless I’m in an especially spicy mood.

Joseph arrived in a timely manner. He met with us to see if we had any current issues. He was polite and extremely knowledgeable. Joseph did an excellent job of treating our house. He took great care to ensure that all the gates were closed because of our pool. Joseph sent pictures as he completed his work. At the conclusion he met with us to discuss his treatment. Aptive has great employees who are all knowledgeable of their work. I have referred family, friends and neighbors who all use Aptive.
Thanks the Johnsons
