I had a very disappointing experience with Active Pest Control. I signed a one-year agreement, and after completing the contract, they renewed my service without my proper authorization. When I decided to cancel because the service was ineffective, I was forced to pay a $200 cancellation fee, which I found completely unfair.
The pest control service itself was very poor. The technician only sprayed around the front of the house and never performed a thorough treatment inside or around the entire property. Despite multiple visits, I continue to have a serious cockroach infestation in my kitchen and garage, as shown in the photos. The treatments did not solve the problem at all.
I paid for a professional pest control service, but I was left with the same infestation and had to pay an additional $200 just to cancel. I wasted both my time and money. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Active Pest Control to anyone.

Alex came to my home and told me that the spray was pet friendly, that we can stay in the house while they spray and that they would leave mosquito traps in my back yard. They sprayed on July 3rd. My dog started vomiting that same day. My Asthma flared up and they left no traps. I called Alex and he told me we shouldn't of let the dog back in for at least half hour to an hour. I was never told that. Plus un 4th of July we were getting bit by mosquitos. I called to cancel and they still charges me $200. Be careful when dealing with them.

Jetson was great. He gave about a 45 minute heads up of when he'd be arriving, which is better than "I'll be there in 5 minutes!" I have lots of special instructions/requests for our bug treatment. He was patient, listened and respected my requests.I liked that he asked me if, when he was done, would I like him to knock in the door, or just send a text, I chose a text. He did a great job! š

Worst pest control service I've ever experienced. They won't let you cancel their service without a fee even though their is no contract nor terms of agreement etc.
They lie about a contract and when you ask to see it you are shown a to the "account page" but there is not place to cancel nor is there a link to the so called "contract" that no one actually signed.
So I tried cancelling on the phone just to get the run around and threatened.
So in response I started telling the techs when they text about being on the way, that I've been trying to cancel and not to show up.....and they have been great about respecting my wishes even though the company tries to reschedule the appointments without my say so. Then today after turning down 3 service tech in the past 2 months or so.....they had the nerve to have a tech show up with my house without warning thinking it was going to force my hand and make me accept the service. Nope sent her away also.
Best part the text me a link to leave a review on the service from today even though I DIDNT EVEN GET A SERVICE. ššš Lucky for me I have cameras all around my house and videos from today to prove I didn't have service and now I'm calling my bank to let them know of a possible fraud.
Just in case any of y'all are having this same issue. Call your bank and notify them of the issue and you'll be all set to go.
Also never go with a company who is this pushy and underhanded when it comes to a service. And if you are thinking of using them....do your research like I should have and the best place to start is reddit.
Also, if a pest control service has to spray every 3-4 weeks ALL year around ..... Baby you getting scammed. Stop paying 100+ for a 5 service you can do yourself... when NEEDED!!
You'll thank me later āŗļø

Why am I still seeing pests after my first treatment?
If you are seeing pests right after your treatment, odds are you are witnessing them flee your property, which typically means the treatment is effective. If after a week you are still seeing pests, give us a call and our service professional will gladly return to treat your home at no additional cost.
How much does professional pest control cost?
Our professional pest control plans start as low as $49 to $55 per month for our Basic plan, depending on your location. We offer three primary tiersāBasic, Pro, and Premiumādesigned to fit different levels of protection needs and budgets.
Do you offer same-day pest control services?
Yes, depending on current technician availability. If you call before noon, we can often provide same-day service for urgent pest issues.
How soon can a technician come out for an emergency?
We strive for 24 to 48-hour response times. For emergencies like a yellow jacket nest or indoor roach sightings, we prioritize your call in our daily schedule.
Do you spray both the inside and outside of the house?
Yes, standard service covers both. We focus on the exterior to stop pests at the source and treat the interior (baseboards/under sinks) to eliminate any that have already entered.
What areas are included in a "perimeter" treatment?
A perimeter treatment covers 3 feet up the foundation and 3 feet out into the yard. We also treat windowsills, door frames, and eaves.
How do I get rid of an ant infestation in my kitchen?
To stop ants, we use "transferable" baits. Workers carry the bait back to the queen, killing the entire colony rather than just the ants you see on the counter.
What is the best treatment for German cockroaches?
German roaches require a combination of baiting, insect growth regulators (IGRs), and sanitation. They are resilient, so 2ā3 follow-up visits are often required for total elimination.
Is pest control safe for children and infants?
Yes, we prioritize family-safe applications. By focusing on the exterior and using low-toxicity indoor treatments, we minimize exposure. We recommend keeping children out of treated areas for 30ā60 minutes until dry.
What is your "Pest-Free Guarantee"?
Our guarantee means if the pests return between scheduled visits, we return for free. We stay until the problem is solved.
Do you offer free re-treatments?
Yes, all of our recurring plans include unlimited free re-treatments for covered pests.
Why am I still seeing bugs after my first service?
This is the "flush out" period. The treatment is driving pests out of their hiding spots. They will die off shortly after coming into contact with the product.
Why is the pest problem getting worse?
This usually happens with ants and roaches as they are attracted to our baits. This "surge" is a sign that the colony is actively feeding on the treatment.
How can I tell if a treatment was successful?
Success is measured by a steady decrease in sightings and finding dead insects rather than live ones.
Do you guarantee 100% elimination?
We guarantee to control and manage populations to the point where they do not infest your living space. No one can stop every single bug from ever entering, but we ensure they don't stay.
