Had the most terrible experience, no one came to let me grab my stuff, been waiting for 15 minutes now, others in worse shape than me. I can see the item i came here to pick up but no one has come by to scan my phone. I was waiting curbside for 10 minutes before I decided to come in and saw others were already waiting. Doing this review while I wait, what awful service - will be going to Home Depot more because of this.

⭐ Very Disappointing Customer Service Experience
The company I work for purchased a water softener from Lowe’s for one of our customers. Once the unit arrived, we scheduled the installation. During installation, we discovered that the water softener had a manufacturer defect. Every time we turned the water on, one of the fittings would blow out.
We contacted the manufacturer directly, and they advised us to return the defective unit to our local Lowe’s for a refund.
When I arrived at the store, the experience was extremely disappointing. The manager did not even bother to look up the order or review my receipt before telling the employee that they could not accept the return because the product had been “used.”
I explained that the product was not actually used—it could not be used because it was defective. I was then told that Lowe’s has a 48-hour return policy on appliances. I pointed out that a water softener is not considered an appliance under their return policy. I even referenced the return policy posted on the wall, which listed the items subject to the 48-hour policy, and water softeners were not included.
Since the manager was unwilling to help, I called Lowe’s corporate customer service while I was still in the store. What bothered me most was the manager's response. She told me, “I don’t care if you call corporate. It’s not going to change anything.”
Corporate then confirmed that I was correct: the water softener was not considered an appliance under that return policy, and our purchase qualified for the 60-day return period.
Only after corporate confirmed this did the manager finally ask to see my receipt. Suddenly, I was told, “We’re able to perform the refund.”
My question is: Why did it have to get to that point?
Our company spends a significant amount of money at Lowe’s, but even if I had never spent another dollar there, every customer deserves to be treated professionally and have the actual return policy reviewed before being dismissed.
I wasn't asking for special treatment. I was returning a defective product, following the manufacturer's instructions, and asking Lowe’s to honor its own return policy.
The entire situation could have been handled in a few minutes if the manager had simply looked up the purchase and checked the policy from the beginning. Instead, it became unnecessarily confrontational and unpleasant.
By the time the refund was finally approved, I just wanted to get out of the store.
Very disappointing experience, especially from store management. Lowe’s needs to do better when it comes to customer service and how customers are treated when there is a legitimate problem with a defective product.

I live closer to a Home Depot but choose to come far out of my way to Lowe's for the friendly and helpful staff memebers, styles, and selection, however, after today, I'm not sure how I'll proceed in the future.
I was rushed by two large off leash dogs in the store, barking and running at me and my service dog in training while the owner was more than 7 isles away! I had to use my cart and yell at the dogs before the owner came out of an isle and walked away with his dogs without a word to me.
The other shoppers and the associates were kind and checked in on me after the event and Pam, I believe her name was, made sure to speak with the owner of the dogs and other staff members, then came back to check in with me to make sure I was ok.
Another employee let me know that the man has been there before with his dogs off leash, so this must have happened to other shoppers before - or could happen to someone in the future.
I feel unsafe coming to this store to shop with my service dog in training if other customers, a Pro member at that fact, can come in and use the store as their personal playground for their off leash dogs
