Little Red Hen's Plant Nursery grew from the dream of a mother for her child’s future. In 1993, when there were few quality services to help those with developmental disabilities, the Nursery became a place where tending to plants helped those with autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down syndrome, and other intellectual and neurological disabilities to gain social and work skills.
With one shed and a dream, the reality of a peaceful garden came to light. This beautiful celebrated garden store is the beginning of the Little Red Hen of Chico.
