I had a frustrating experience with this ExtraSpace location. I tried to move in on Sunday 5/31/26. My movers told me the unit was locked.
I immediately tried calling the 800 number and reaching out on Twitter. The 800 number routed me to the onsite office, which was closed, and the messages I left on Sunday were not returned until Monday. Twitter support responded quickly but said they couldn’t reach the onsite manager either.
Since I couldn’t reach anyone, I eventually had to drive to the facility myself and direct my movers to the correct unit. Had a manager been instructed to contact me, or had there been any reliable way to reach someone onsite, we could have resolved the issue much faster.
The onsite manager who called me on Monday, said she had her phone and was able to assist. However, she was never informed of the confusion.
Because of the communication breakdown, we lost about half a day of packing/unloading and had to keep the U-Haul for an extra day.
