It's fine. If you're looking to pay $275/month for a 5x10 spot and can only access it from 8am - 7pm Monday - Saturday and 10am - 4pm on Sundays, then this place is for you. No bells and whistles but units are behind a locked gate, the city (or ESS) have recently cleaned up and removed the encampments that come and go, and there is a staff on-site to help with questions or lock issues. Caveat is that they often do things first and then notify you - i.e. they changed all of the locks on the units and then informed us, saying to come get your keys. They cut off all locks (didn't give us our locks back) and just replaced them saying they were "more secure." Also, they raise the rent often. We've had 4 in the 6 years we've been there. Convenient location in West Berkeley right off the exit is what keeps me there but we'll be out soon.

Antwan was very helpful and attentive. I asked a thousand questions but he took his time with me to make sure I understood the process and the terms of the agreement. He was very knowledgeable. I also toured a few units and they were nice. Seems like a well kept place and they have great service. The day before I met Antoine, I had a chance to meet with Nox and he was also great!

Fellow on phone was polite but after 4 months using this storage unit they DOUBLED the rent with no forewarning.! Of course they did not tell me this when I began renting the unit. What is worse apparently this kind of treatment is "common practice" with this company. That makes it worse!! I am going to fly out to Berkeley and empty this storage unit as soon as i can. Highway robbery!!
