Enrique was friendly, quick, and efficient in fixing my Whirlpool Washing macihine service recall issue. There was no charge to me for the repair service and replacement parts. Thank you Enrique! Please note that this survey did not provide appropriate responses for my situation (i.e. no charge to me).

Very disappointed with Appliance Repair Specialists. They charged $175 just to come out and gave us a completely incorrect diagnosis, claiming we needed a repair that would cost around $2,300. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion from another company, and they fixed the actual issue for only $200. It honestly felt like either the technician was not knowledgeable enough to diagnose the problem correctly or they were trying to upsell an unnecessary major repair. Either way, it was a terrible experience and a costly misdiagnosis. I understand diagnostic fees are standard, but paying $175 for such an inaccurate assessment was extremely frustrating. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any expensive repairs from this company.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Appliance Repair Specialists (Bakersfield), a contractor used by Assurant for my Lowe’s extended warranty service. I filed a claim on April 2, 2026 for a GE washer that was not functioning. Technician Manuel B. came out on April 10, diagnosed the issue, and ordered parts. I was notified on April 13 that parts had arrived and scheduled the repair for April 17, which was pushed by them to April 18. On April 18, I was given a 3–6 PM service window and closely tracked the technician’s appointments throughout the day. Manuel arrived at my home at approximately 6 PM, only to tell me that one of the required parts had not arrived and that he could not complete the repair. He specifically stated the main issue was a failed capacitor and mentioned replacing the control board as a precaution. Based on this explanation, I agreed to reschedule for the following week. However, when I followed up with the company on April 21, I was told I was not scheduled at all. After escalating to a supervisor, I was given a completely different explanation. I was told that the job was not completed because it required four hours and the technician did not have enough time to return to Bakersfield within his schedule. These two explanations directly contradict each other. I was told in person that the repair could not be completed due to a missing part, but the company later claimed it was a scheduling issue. This lack of transparency is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about honesty and accountability. Customers should not have to question whether they are being told the truth about why a repair was not completed. This experience has caused unnecessary delays, inconvenience, and loss of trust. I strongly urge Assurant and Lowe’s to review how their contracted service providers are representing them. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

If I could give a negative review, I would. Check out their yelp as they have honest reviews there. They must pay to get reviews here on Google. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Appliance Repair Specialists regarding my new Maytag washer. For almost three weeks, I have been met with a level of incompetence and disregard for my time that is frankly unacceptable. Despite being incredibly accommodating to your schedule—including arranging alternative childcare just to meet your company repair windows—your company has failed to reciprocate even a basic level of flexibility. After an initial technician found "no problem," the machine failed again. When a second visit finally identified the issue, the repair could not be completed because your company neglected to send the necessary door lock part. Most frustrating is the total breakdown in communication. I was personally promised an 8:00 AM appointment by the technician to avoid my daughter’s school and dance schedule. Instead, I was once again shoved into a 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM slot. When I contacted customer service, I was met with scripted, empty apologies like "I understand your frustration," rather than actual solutions. I have repeatedly adjusted my time to suit your technicians. I expect this machine to be fixed immediately, as I have now been without a working appliance for nearly three weeks due to your internal negligence. 04/14/26: Update - the technician came and guess what? They have the wrong part! Need to wait another week. Let's see how many updates it will take before the appliance is fixed. next week will be one month!!!!! 04/18/26: Update: I rescheduled to Monday. However, I received a call that they could get me in today, Saturday. Of course I received a call that the technician called in sick and now the earliest they can get me in is on WEDNESDAY!!! Where can I report them of this terrible terrible experience. See image for reference. 04/22/26 Update: The technician came to my house again and guess what?! They did not send him the part!!!!! I have to wait yet again.

This company is the worse! I have accommodated to their scheduling and two weeks later my appliance has still not been fixed. Here is what happened: I purchased a new Maytag washer in February. The machine within a few days gave a "contact service". I contacted Maytag and they connected me with Appliance Repair Specialist. When I received the call from Appliance Repair Specialists, they gave me a week later appointment at a 2 to 5pm timeframe. I specifically told them that I have to pick up my daughter from 2 to 3 from school and not to come. They said they noted that for the technician not to come. The day of the appointment, I was heading out to pick up my daughter when I received an automated call that the technician was 10 minutes away. I had to call the customer service line asking why they were coming when I specifically said not to come at this time. They had to reschedule me for another week later. Unfortunately, when that next appointment came, the electricity in the city went out and again I had to wait another week. Then when that time came around, the technician called in sick and they could not send another technician because of some traffic on the freeway. When the technician came, he couldn't find a problem. A week later after the technician came, my machine said to contact service again! At this point I wanted to get it fix quickly and made accommodations for someone else to pick up my daughter just so a technician can come to fix it. The board needed to be replaced and he had to force open the door to get my laundry out. Of course I had to wait a week. Another week comes and the company forgot to send him the door lock so he couldn't come to fix the washer. I expressed my concern with the time frame of 2-5pm because of school pick up and dance classes for my daughter. He offered for me to give authorization for him to be alone at my home. Which I did not want to do. He looked and said he had the first appointment of the day open and that I would be his 8am appt the follow week. The day before the appointment, I received an automated call again and I was scheduled for the 2pm to 5pm slot. I was livid because I was clearly said that I could not be at the time slot. Customer service was no help aside from "I understand your frustration", "I apologize for the inconvenience". It was not my fault I had to wait another week, it was their negligence for not sending all the parts. They do not listen and only provide defaulted responses based on their training. I made it a point to let them know that if I need to accommodate their schedule again my washer better be fixed tomorrow. It has been 2 almost 3 weeks and it is still not fixed. Maybe they don't care because the machine is on warranty?
