UPDATE 2: It has now been approximately 15 months since the doors and windows were installed. They finally got a matching paint color (although they are shinier) and painted the 2 screens for the sliders which were delivered the end of May by the manager of the store. The screens wouldn't slide properly so he told us he would have a rep from Simonton come out. They never came even after my husband contacted the manager several times. Fortunately my husband was able to adjust himself. We just discovered the door screens don't have the sweeps on them so my husband texted the manager about that and asked for the umpteenth time when our window screens will be done. He did not respond to the first message so he sent another. Like I said before, my husband has to reach out to him on the status of the screens all the time. The most piss poor customer service we've ever come across! UPDATE: it has been almost a year now since we got our windows and doors and there is still no resolution on the wrong screen color. My husband has to constantly call for updates. Crazy poor customer service!!! We ordered Simonton sliding doors and windows last year per the recommendation of Jenny at Foxworth-Galbraith. She said they were top of the line windows and doors. They arrived and were installed by a contractor that she referred us to in April/May. Unfortunately we discovered the screens didn't match the doors and windows and one door screen was damaged. We ordered tan and the screens are almond. When we told her the screens were almond, she reordered the screens but we had to call her to find out if they came in because she never called us. When we picked up the screens, we discovered they were still almond. Turns out the screens are outsourced and apparently they can't make them in tan which is odd since other window companies can make screens to match their windows. They should have samples in their showroom so people can see the screens don't match the doors and windows. We never would have bought them had we known they wouldn't match. On top of that, they make you pay the whole cost up front so you can't negotiate when the product is inferior. We've been going round and round with Foxworth-Galbraith since May and they won't do anything for us nor will the rep from Simonton that they had come to our house to look at the screens. All they can say is "they are close". We wonder how they would feel if the screens were on their house. We keep calling and no one will call us back. Very poor customer service! I would never refer anyone to either company!!!
