This review is based SOLELY on their RETURN policies.
We bought an evap cooler a few weeks ago. It wasn't working as expected; the louvers wouldn't stay in place and it didn't cover the square footage we expected.
When we returned it, we were told there is a 48hr return policy for the cooler therefore they wouldn't accept the return! 48hrs!
We weren't told about this at the time of purchase! When we were returning the item they said the policy is listed on the board - the board that is at the ENTRANCE! SERIOUSLY!
The manager told us to contact the manufacturer.
Apparently after you make a purchase, you need to go to the FRONT entrance of the store and read the return policy?!?!
The manager was kind, professional and did work with us after some discussion. We appreciated that, however, it doesn't change the fact that
1) the return policy for 'major appliances' is 48hrs. (does that include sleeping hours? Or business hours? )
2) This policy is not listed on the receipt or at check out (screen or the clerk)
3) an evaporator cooler is considered a major appliance.
4) 48hrs for a major appliance is not enough time to determine if the product is acceptable. It was freighting to think the $1200 stove was on a 48hr return... Were the $400 toilets on the same return policy? Anyway.......
NOTE: We now know they have 48hr, 30day and 90 day policies.
We shop at this LOWE's A LOT. We have done many yard and home remodels, repairs for our home and also a rental. We have spent 10s of thousand of dollars here (not exaggeration) and we don't return many items.
We love this store but now I'm hesitant to use Lowe's for certain products.
We are very disappointed.
I do thank the manager for working with us.

Whoever answers the phone at customer service for this location is terrible. I was calling to check the deadline for a countertop pickup that just got delivered to the store, as I wanted to make sure I could get it before my order was cancelled and I was charged. She kept interrupting me while I was speaking to say, “I’ve never heard of that happening.” Ma’am I can see it right here on this email, but there is a bug in the code that generates the email because the deadline date is gibberish. It says if we don’t pick it up by xxx, the order will be returned and I will be charged a fee. What is that date? “I’ve never heard of that. You just need to pick it up.” Ok, if I pick it up on Saturday can you make sure the order isn’t cancelled and I’m not charged a fee before then? “I can’t guarantee that. You need to pick it up.” Zero help. Zero details that could be shared. Zero idea what sort of messaging is in the Lowe’s customer service email. Zero idea on policy or processes. Zero customer service. I don’t usually complain, but it was extremely frustrating and I as shocked by how rude she was. Never even introduced herself or told me her name.
