  Well, I'm sorry to say that this is my first ever 1-star review. I drove over from New Blaine to get duplicates made of my house key. The machine scanned my key and indicated that it could replicate it and I ordered 4 keys. First, after I selected the cash payment option, the machine would not accept cash. I had to go back a few screens to select credit card payment. After paying the $36+ I took my 4 new keys home and none of them worked. I tried jiggling each key in both the front and back doors to see if I could get any of them to work but no luck. When I compared the new keys to the original, I could see that all of the new keys had one area where there should have been a deeper notch than what is on them. The original key has an area that looks like this /\_/\ while the new keys look like this ^--^ in the same area. I've used Minute Key machines at other locations with no issues. I guess the odds of having a bad experience finally caught up with me.

  It is very quick and easy to get a key made. The step-by-step instructions are very easy to follow.

  I made two keys. One for the house and another for the storage building. The storage building key did not work and the machine even scanned it twice. So with the option I selected I'm out $8 for a keys that don't work.

  I used a Minute Key machine at Lowe's while waiting for paint for the remodeling of my new house. It took less time than at the hardware store and I was able to make a key with "Home" on it!
