*****Update after 3 hours of being on the phone Saturday, literally being put on hold on one phone and calling from another, I did finally get a person who would not put me on hold, and got approval from a manager for me to pick up my items on Monday.
The staff on Monday at Lowe's was very friendly and helpful, they also made note of who was working on Saturday, so hopefully the issues will be addressed. I told them I did not feel like I was rude or disrespectful to the associates that I spoke with, I did tell them their automated system is very frustrating because it is 5 minutes of listening before you can to speak to a person.
I had a pick up order today, that my son picked up, the order was close to $1000.00. He failed to get 4 items (all the same item) he was almost to Ozark when he realized it. I called the store they told me I HAD to pick it up today, I could not wait until Monday to pick it up, the also told me I could not get a credit ($28.00) of the very large order. The first time I called, I got disconnected after 5 minutes of the automated call, then had to call back and listen to all the automation again, finally got someone and was told that I had to come back to get it TODAY and no credit, or I could pick it up at the Ozark Lowe's (FYI no store in Ozark)- I have now been on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a manager(disconnected again) If I had not already installed the same flooring in my house that I purchased today I would return the entire order!
My son told me to just forget the $ and get it somewhere else but it has now become the principal of the matter.
*****So to update after 3 hours, using two phones so customer service would answer ( I literally was on hold on another phone while I talked to someone that had just come on duty, that person did actually talk to the manager on duty, the manager did say I could pick up my missing items on Monday). I was literally going to take the entire order back and get it from another store. I do not feel like I was rude or disrespectful ... I was frustrated and irritated especially with the automated answering system, because it is 5 minutes of options...technology is not always great!

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
