I called last week to ask if it had been fixed yet because I wanted to shop, and was told no. It’s July and I can only imagine how hot it is in there now. The employees have to be miserable :/

Needed to do a return and couldn’t bear to do any additional shopping in the heat. Customer service said there was a part on back order to repair the AC but provided no ETA. Continuing to pray for the health and safety of the store employees in the meantime. 6/14/2026: Shopping at At Home had always been an adventure and pleasure for me until visiting the Huntsville, Alabama store. It is June of 2026 and this store has NO AIR CONDITIONING???!!! The first visit, I thought perhaps it was awaiting repair. After the third visit, I inquired with employees and the manager and learned that this is a long standing issue. As I understand, employees are suffering heat exhaustion from working in what is effectively a SAUNA! The joy of browsing the isles is off limits for me in this store. I have to quickly find what I'm looking for and get the heck out. This situation is shameful. How can you allow your employees and customers to be this uncomfortable? It's not like your offerings are inexpensive. Your price points demand a sufficiently comfortable shopping environment. Even Dollar General and the least expensive stores have AIR CONDITIONING in the summer in the DEEP SOUTH! I will post this complaint everywhere I can until something is done. And honestly, I do this for the employees more than anything. Clearly, At Home isn't looking out for the employees, so somebody has to do it! Even if I don't visit to shop, I'll be stopping by regularly to see if this disgraceful situation has been resolved. Do better, At Home! Just DO BETTER!!
