I had a great experience at Lowe’s last night 12/15/25 before closing! I was assisted by Miguel, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. My husband and I went in for paint for both walls and laminate cabinets, and he guided us through the right products, colors, and techniques. He even shared helpful tips for painting laminate so we could get the best, long-lasting results. His customer service, patience, and expertise made the process easy and stress-free. Today was the last straw that broke the camel back.
I’ve had repeated issues at this store, especially when it comes to their discount signage. More than once, I’ve picked up items clearly marked as 50% or 75% off, only to be told at the register that the discount doesn't apply. This always leads to back-and-forth between the cashier and a floor associate, wasting my time. I’ve even gotten into the habit of taking pictures of the signs because this happens so often.
Today, I went to buy a whiskey barrel that was marked 75% off again they had to verify as the register was showing full price, once they verified that I had another issue , originally I went in to this store to check on an inflatable item that showed as out of stock online. To my surprise, I found the last one available in-store and decided to buy it. The item was marked as 50% off, but the store refused to honor the discount. I spent about 20 minutes waiting as they "checked" on the issue. In that same time, I placed an order online for the same item at the Pharr location, where they did honor the sale and had my order ready for pickup before Weslaco even gave me an answer.
When they finally said they could NOT offer the discount, I let them know it was too late, I’d already bought it from Pharr. The whole experience just confirmed what I’ve known for a while: this Weslaco location is too much of a hassle. I live in Weslaco, but from now on, I’ll make the drive to Harlingen or Pharr. It’s out of the way, but it’s worth it to avoid the constant inconvenience at this store.

Went to Lowes to get a couple items and was helped to find them by two different dept. employees who seemed to be well informed aboit their items and where they can be found. Otherwise, no problem. Since I am Disabled and a Veteran, I enjoyed parking close to the entrance which unfortunately not all businesses do for us (look for it, the place those spaces further way, way to go Lowes.. And that's why I left your competitors!).
